I booked this hotel as an overnight before a cruise. The staff were extremely friendly, and recommended a great restaurant to grab a local bite. The hotel is directly across the street from the beach! So all you need to do to see the ocean is walk out your door. Great views, walking distance from many restaurants. The breakfast was a little crowded, but I think all of us were trying to get ready for port. Food was decent, not bad. I would definitely book again!

Very nice room with great amenities. Staff was very attentive. The location was close to the beach and other attractions.

Room upgraded at no extra charge. Thank you Hostess Our experience was better than expected.

Located near several restaurants and stores, so easy to walk to. Beach across the road. Very comfortable room.

The hotel was clean and staff very friendly.. Hotel is close to the beach.

Decent economy hotel near the beach. Easy walk to beach and a few blocks from Rainforest cafe. If you are not picky, the free breakfast will be fine. Pancakes, waffles, eggs, cereal, etc.

beach across the street but also has a pool. not in the heaviest traffic areas; Kroger within one block; side street easy way to Moody Gardens. Front desk very helpful. Nice breakfast.

Good location and good breakfast and had and indoor pool

My family and I wanted to stay in Galveston the night before our cruise. It's very hard to find a decent hotel that is not nasty and affordable in Galveston without spending a lot. I read the reviews and trusted what everyone said and they were right. After driving 5 hours in the pouring rain and thunder storms we were greeted so nicely by the front desk clerk Christina and Our room was great. Breakfast was also good. This will be our place to stay for now on when we visit here!

Room was clean and comfortable, although I think the mattress should go. Saggy. Balcony had a decent view of the ocean. Arriving late, we had to go to a window and wait outside in the cold for a good five minutes to be checked in. Luckily it wasn't raining. Once we got in, all was relatively OK, but that was a pretty poor welcome. First impressions really do matter.

My wife & I stayed from October 23 - October 28, when we arrived and saw the assigned room, it was on the West side of the building, we asked if possible to move to East side, request was immediately granted by Tiarra at the front desk. Everything was great: clean spacious rooms, friendly and helpful staff, perfect location; across from beach & 61st Street Fishing Pier, near restaurants, shopping, comfortable beds, balcony with view of water, great free breakfast, elevators. Can't think of any negative things at all!!

We booked our hotel at the last moment, but I would say we did okay. The hotel staff was very warm and friendly. The room was really clean, but had a musty smell. It was 50-75 yards from Seawall Blvd. The indoor pool only holds about 2-3 small families comfortably. Breakfast was good.

We had a nice room with a good view of the gulf from the balcony. The room was clean and comfortable. The complementary breakfast was good and had a nice variety, something for every taste. The staff was friendly and helpful. We would stay there again.

Last year, same week, I was looking for the best deal on a hotel that was close to everything and was easy for a family of 4 -two young kids. Well I found this spot and our room was very clean, the AC was super cold, water pressure excellent, gave us a nice crib to use, and the hotel staff were very outgoing and positive. Their FREE BREAKFAST buffet is another reason. Super convenient and it is a great spread in the morning. Eggs, bacon, sausage, waffles, pancakes, oatmeal, hardboiled eggs, biscuits, gravy, coffee, 4 juices, cucumber water, tea, yogurt, pastries, tabasco!.... crazy good buffet for a traveler's breakfast. Is it good enough for those who insist on 5 star food and complain about free stuff? Probably not. This year it was a repeat performance and we stayed longer. To be fair, the only bad part was that there was 1 of 2 elevators working hence the 3/5 hotel conditions rating. That created some delays, but hey that's life. Stuff breaks... relax.

Best hotel we have stayed at in Galveston for the price. Good breakfast, soft bed, very clean, and close to the beach.

When my wife and i arrived at 3:42pm on Saturday, our room 513 was not ready had to wait for the lady to finish up the room while we were just standing there.

I had a great stay and a great room. Loved the Blueberry Pancakes!

We flew in to Houston, purchased a vehicle in Alvin, and stayed in Galvestion before starting our road trip back home. The staff at this hotel were very friendly and accomodating, we enjoyed the area and our stay that we decided to extend it by an extra night. Great area, would definitely recommend.

Thought the view would be better, but all rooms have partial view of the ocean. Rooms were clean, staff was nice. They gave my kids cookies. Breakfast was okay, but had a wide selection. Hotel was close to everything. Perfect location.

It was a great one night. The beach is right infront of the hotel. Couldent ask for a better spot

I am sorry you didn't enjoy your stay. The beds are less than (1) year old, and are Serta pillow tops. I'm not sure what was wrong with the sausage patties, they are Jimmy dean sausage, which is the most popular breakfast sausage in the USA. The breakfast also includes: (2) flavors of waffles, pancakes, asst. danish, asst. muffins, (4) types of cold cereal, (3) types of hot cereal, (2) types of fruit, (3) types of yogurt, (2) types of toast, asst, syrups and honey, scrambled egg patties, sausage gravy and biscuits, etc. We try to keep our breakfast expansive and fresh, I am really sorry you didn't like it. Thank you very much for staying with us at the Quality Inn & Suites Galveston Beachfront.
