Lazy River and hot tub need to be cleaned debris in water, sitting areas, and bottom of water. July 8 storm damaged facility causing half the water amenities to be closed. Paid a lot for this rental specifically for all the water activities. 2nd hot tub was not repaired til day 5 of our 5 day stay. If given notice I could have canceled my reservation and stayed somewhere more affordable with all amenities as advertised.

The property was very clean and had a great location, a very short walk to the beach. The condo was a great location and very well maintained. The building could use some updating it has the potential to be beautiful, but needs a little tlc. I really wish there would have been a small market or food option available at the condo. All in all it was a great place for our family, we have 3 young kids and the pools and beach offered great options depending on what was going on.

Great condo but some fall backs

** part of the condo was not cleaned well at all. Lots of hair left and just unclean. All over sink and bathroom floor. The other room was fine. *** the slide was down and I was told it had not been working for a long time. One of the reasons we booked was for the kids to have the water slide. It needs to be advertised that it will not be working. We were extremely disappointed and kids let down.

Diamond Condo Resort Galveston

This condo is beautiful but here are a few things that we did not like. There was mold in the shower I didn't feel like they really worked very hard on cleaning that. This condo is directly across from where the dog's use the restroom so you are constantly looking at a stream of dog owners avoiding eye contact as they clean up after their pets. Upon check in we noticed the lack of any toilet paper or paper towels in the condo, so I went down to the front desk where he called the actual owners they immediately referred us to the "property mgmt" team who never answered their phone. So we went to Walmart and purchased our own which at these prices is ridiculous. The air conditioner never really gets the place "cool" at best you get tepid. The arcade on property smelled worse than the gym which is actually one of the best things about the property very spacious and well outfitted workout room. We have stayed on this property before this time and had a very nice time, but I am not sure I would stay here again. I would not recommend this specific condo.

Great Stay

The floor plan was surprisingly spacious with lots of room for our toddler and a great balcony with clean and very usable furniture. I’ve stayed in one of the Pent Houses at Diamon Beach Resort, and I’d have to say I enjoyed this unit just as much if not more than that.

Could Have Been Better

To begin with we are mother and daughter with me being a retired accountant and my daughter being an interior designer . The main living area of the unit was tastefully done and was most pleasant and relaxing . Unfortunately the bedrooms are in dire need of improvement . There are large body shaped indentations in both mattresses that are most uncomfortable . Folding king or queen size bedding for a twin trundle bed also makes for uncomfortable sleeping . The chaise and chair in the master bdr. are well worn and there is no mirror . The master bath's lighting is so poor that it is impossible to do one's hair or makeup and could probably be resolved with better quality light bulbs . The TV sets is both bedrooms did not work properly and there was no remote for the one in guestroom . This may have been aggravated by the fact that we had no WiFi . The codes we were given did not work and though we reported it on the day of our arrival It was 2 days before anyone came to check it and the 2nd. person to check the problem came the day before we left . It seem we were given the wrong codes. Diamond Beach Condos is a lovely place but unit 201 certainly needs attention as in it's present state it is overpriced .

Enjoyed Our Stay, But...

Diamond Beach Resorts abuts a family-friendly beach area that is within easy walking distance -- literally steps away. Though it is away from most of the attractions and restaurants of the Island, they are all within easy driving distance. In addition to its adjacency to the beach, Diamond Beach Resorts features indoor and outdoor pools and many other amenities, including covered parking. The condo units themselves are spacious, bright, and airy with stunning views of the Gulf of Mexico. So why only three stars? Let me count the ways: 1) The unit in which we stayed was not as described on either the VRBO or Vacasa site at the time we reserved it. At the time we booked the condo (February, 2021) each site described the unit as having a king bed in the master and a queen bed in the second bedroom (as well as a pull-out queen in the living room couch). When we checked in to the unit, the second bedroom did not have a queen bed; it had a twin trundle bed instead! When confronting Vacasa customer service regarding this, they confirmed that the listing stated that the unit had king and queen beds and eventually stated that the owner(s) must have replaced the bed in the second bedroom. Be that as it may, had we known that the unit was not originally described, we would never have booked it in the first place, requested a change to a unit that did have a king and queen bed, or cancelled that booking altogether. As it was, we felt deceived and "ripped off" (the exact term I used when discussing this with the local Vacasa manager. As of 26Jul2021, VRBO and Vacasa have each updated their listings to show the correct bedroom configuration. 2) WiFi password provided by Vacasa was wrong. Multiple calls to Customer Service and an onsite visit by a technician finally produced a working password. 3) Broken lock on door to outdoor balcony. Vacasa and Diamond Beach Resorts each said the other (or the owner) was responsible for fixing this. Never reslolved. 4) 3 of 4 pot lights in the master bedroom were burned out upon check-in. Vacasa sent someone to replace them. All of this speaks to questionable property management in my opinion. Why weren't all these things checked and verified to be working before we arrived? One can only wonder... Other than that, it was a great vacation at a great facility.

Pros-Very clean, great front desk staff, kitchen fully stocked. Cons -Furniture dated and worn, right next to an access gate with people coming and going all the time, no privacy on balcony. Noisy because it is right by the elevator. View is of a parking lot with the ocean beyond that. Not sure it was worth the nightly rate

Beautiful place to stay!

This property is located at a fabulous resort. The resort itself was clean and workers friendly. The pool area both inside and out were our favorite. We never got a chance to reserve and use the theater room but other families that were there said they did and it was great. It is down on the west end of Seawall so didn't have the crowds and more laid back without much traffic although there was a little shopping center across the street if you needed anything. The condo itself was great. I did notice the main toilet did not always flush, you had to make sure it filled back up after flushing so the next person wouldn't run into a surprise and the kitchen faucet still had not been fixed from the last review we saw before we stayed there. All in all, the condo was great and a fabulous change from the hotel rooms we usually get when we visit. The only thing that would make me not want to stay there again is check in is not until 4pm and you have to be checked out by 10am and turn in all keys and garage openers. Not terrrible, but they don't give you wristbands for the day you are leaving so you leave feeling a bit cheated.
