Beachfront Cottage with 3BR 3 BA with access to Pointe West Community Amenities

This 3-bedroom, 3 full bath cottage is located directly on the beach with beautiful views and direct access to the Gulf of Mexico. The master suite features a king size, euro mattress, writing desk and seating area. A private balcony off the bedroom has cushioned seating area and 2 lounge chairs. The newly renovated master bath has an all-glass shower and separate full bath with a double vanity. A water closet provides extra privacy, and the large walk-in closet will accommodate all your belongings or even a Pac-n-play.
On the same second floor level, we have our "bunk room" with two twins over full bunk beds. An ensuite, full bath is newly renovated. A DVD/TV combo is in this room for unwind time or lazy rainy days.
The first floor features a guest room with Queen bed and closet. A Flat screen smart TV with access to Netflix, Amazon, etc. An adjacent full size bath is accessible from the bedroom or living areas.
When you enter the home, you will be immediately looking at the amazing views of the beach and Gulf of Mexico. A large flat screen smart TV is in the living area with a DVD player and Bluetooth speaker for playing tunes. The open floor plan allows for easy family entertainment while enjoying meals and conversation.
The dining table sits 6-8 comfortably with extra seating at the bar for 3. The large open kitchen has all new stainless steel appliances and is fully stocked to serve up to 12 with everything you could imagine to prepare those special meals.
The entrance provides extra storage for shoes, towels or personal belongings with baskets above for unsightly things. Those beach toys are so sandy and can be left on the ground lever either behind the storage wall or in your own storage closet on ground floor.
The ground floor is also the perfect place for grilling that fresh catch of the day or enjoying shrimp from the local shops. Just be sure to bring your own charcoal briquets for the grill. An outdoor shower also makes for easy clean up after a fun day at the beach.
If the beach isn't enough, just drive down to the Pointe West common area where, for an extra fee you will find a large Infiniti Pool, toddler pool, and hot tub. An adjoining restaurant and bar make it easy to wind own after a fun day or just stay in your lounger for pool side dining. A game room and fitness center are located here as well for your enjoyment. A second pool is located a little further down the road on the bayside of the community. Our Sunset Pool is heated and has a small lazy river and hot tub. There is a fire pit, gas and charcoal grills for guests use. If you choose to purchase the wristbands to use the community amenities, you will need to bring ID to pick up them at the beach club office.

WRISTBAND POLICY
The Property Owners Association (POA) at Pointe West collects a wristband fee of $25 per guest for each guest over the age of 4 (children younger than 4 do not pay) for use of the Beach Club and Sunset Pools during your stay at Pointe West. This is a onetime fee during your stay, not a daily fee. No wristbands are required to enjoy the beautiful beaches at Pointe West this fee is only for use of pools, fitness center, and other amenities. A reservation has been made in your name for your rental period at Pointe West. The wristbands are available at the Beach Club reception every day during business hours (9-5 off season, 9-6 peak season). The physical address for the Beach Club is 4161 Pointe West Drive, Galveston, TX. 77554. You do not have to purchase a wristband to enjoy the restaurant/bar at Pointe West. Your reservation will allow you to receive a temporary band to enjoy this business amenity.

The vacation home is air-conditioned and features a kitchen, 3 bathrooms, and a balcony, and there's space to spread out with 3 bedrooms. Lovely Home / great location

This is a great place to stay. you can hear the ocean so well. it's beautifully decorated, has more than everything you will need (i.e laundry soap, dishwasher soap, baggies, even shampoo!). Being on a cul de sac is great if you have littles. You are very close to the pier and to the water. Pointe west is nice. it's far from town but you also don't get the crowds. great biking area. The fitness are at the Club is undergoing renovation so the gym is not open. (fyi). you pay a little extra for the club and it's optional.

Overall, a great rental

Rental was as pictured, some minor things wrong but overall nice. Very well stocked kitchen, We could not figure out tv's but might have been user error. Best part was the balconies. 2 things to make sure you are aware of: -location- very far from most Galveston attractions- this has positives and negatives -security deposit was $1500- didn't notice huge amount until after I booked. The amount did not feel appropriate given length of stay and condition of home.

Cute House, Great Views

We stayed three nights with another family and had a wonderful time. The kitchen was well stocked with all the necessities and the furniture was comfortable. I would recommend bringing extra blankets as the quilts on the beds are very thin, and the two throw blankets in the living room are also thin and not very big. The room the bunks is very cute, but there’s only one set of stairs to climb up and two bunk beds, the stairs can be moved and most kids don’t have a problem climbing up with no stairs, but it could create an issue if someone was on the top bunch and needed to climb down in the middle of the night and had no stairs. I would suggest to the owner to build custom built in bunks to prevent a safely or fire hazard issue. Overall, it was a wonderful stay and beautiful house.

Girls Getaway!

We had a group of 7 girls stay here for a long weekend. Amenities and neighborhood was exceptional! House was beautiful and clean and fully stocked. Primary bed was so comfy! Views were breathtaking and there was seating out on the balcony to accommodate everyone. Hammock was broken upon arrival but owners fixed that immediately - communication with owners was prompt & professional. Beach access is about a 5 min walk, if hauling a wagon it’s about a 8-10min walk to get to the handicapped ramped walkway. There was confusion on my part about wristbands to use the pools - please know those are an additional $25 per person to purchase at the clubhouse (but worth it) and a short drive to get there. The restaurant/bar wasn’t open when we were there but we didn’t miss it. We brought our own things to the pool discreetly, per management, they said that was fine since the bar was closed. Will definitely stay at Pointe West again! Great little getaway!

We had a wonderful time and the home is really beautiful. Right on the beach with amazing sunrise views from the living and master!! It had everything we needed! Giving a lower score on cleanliness due to an unfortunate issue with animal/bugs which created a cleanliness concern. But the property management team handled it swiftly and took it very seriously. Thank you!! Unfortunately, the beach club restaurant is closed for remodeling and the one and only food truck they set up closed as early as 6:30 on Sat night, and due to our bug issue in the kitchen, we had limited dinner options for a couple of nights. Make sure to verify the beach club restaurant availability before you book, if that’s important to you. Love the house!

Loved staying at this property. Everything was just as pictured and there was nothing better than lounging on the patios and the hammock and watching the sunrise! Never had to wonder about anything because there was such detailed communication. Close to the boardwalk and not too far from the seawall. Will definitely here again!

Perfect stay yet again!

We rented this house once before about five or six years ago. We were excited to stay again, although I worried that perhaps the quality of condition might have gone down after the years. Nope- it was just as gorgeous, comfortable and perfect as the first go around. Beds are super comfy, couches and patio furniture as well. Loved the hammock outside by the grill too. This house is located pretty close to the walk over. The management was great and gave us a heads up about the mosquitos due to the recent rain so we were able to prep for that. Also- we noticed there was a keurig single serving coffee maker but we wanted a traditional coffee maker. We messaged via the app and they dropped off a brand new pot within minutes! All together - highly recommend!!

Great getaway on the beach

Great property on the beach with easy access to the resort, pool, etc…Very clean with plenty of room. Great views of the Gulf from both balconies with lots of outdoor seating. MaryAlice was a great help ensuring our stay was comfortable. Overall this was one of the nicer stays we’ve had on the Island and look forward to staying again.

We had a great time and enjoyed the house very much. My only complaint was the upstairs bedrooms were hot in the afternoon and evening. The AC seems to be having a hard time keeping it cool. Other wise very enjoyable!
