It was ok, few stores in the vicinity, major stores are in downtown Galveston over 15 miles away. No ice maker in the ice box or ice trays. Bare minimum of stuff to make your stay more comfortable. Air conditioning inadequate.I guess you can say it felt cheap.

The communication prior to arriving was wonderful. We were able to easily find the location.Upon arriving, the bathroom was flooded due to a shower fixture that was on and splattering water everywhere. The windows in almost the entire unit were opened and the screens busted. I contacted management and they sent someone out quickly to repair the shower valve and he also removed the screens on the windows. The unit was clean for our stay. I would say for the money it was a decent rental. We only stayed one night.

Fast, thorough and consistent communication from the host. House was clean and as advertised. Only feedback I'd have which is the firefighter side in me coming out, but perhaps adding some smoke detectors. But overall, phenomenal stay. Would stay again.

Nasty, filthy, and disgusting. Brought my mom for a vacation since she is going through chemo. It stunk so bad and was sodirty that i did not feel comfortable having my mom stay. Gnats were so thick in one bathroom it looked like a cloud. The pool was covered in green algae. The oven was so dirty i wouldnot hav cooked anything in it. The refrigerator had spilled liquid. The tile floor was coming up. There were dead roaches throughout. The shower had mold. I texted the office and explained my moms health concern and asked for a refund or move to another even if i had to pay more. They refused to work with me except send pool guy to attempt to get the algae out. The office said it would take the filter a few days to clear the water. The condition of this house was totally unacceptable. If you value your health do not stay here.

Not a good experience

When we arrived there were several issues that were never addressed, even though we reported them. Trash cans on pool deck were overflowing with trash and full of ants and still were when we left. When you took a shower raw sewage ran up out of the ground on the left side of the pool. The back part of the house was very warm because 2 bedrooms have no ceiling fans. The lockbox with the door key in it was open when we arrived. And the pool pump was so loud that it sounded like there was a real problem. Will not stay there again.

This is by far the best place we have ever stayed at. The only issue was that 2 of the rooms were pretty hot maybe issue with the ventilation in there? Other than that the house was super clean and provided everything we needed for our stay.The pool was the best part!!!

We had a good time!

I didn't give a 5 only because I think it could have been slightly better, but my family and I did have a good time. The house didn't quite look like the pictures. Could use a little bit of maintenance. It's to be expected in Galveston. The house was a bit worn. Doors all squeaked (bring some WD40), cabinets didn't close well, flooring was worn, house was a little unlevel, handle in shower fell off, but it was fine. I am sure a few hurricanes will do that.It was clean and the beds were comfortable. Lots of big beds! Only TV is in the family room. The area under the house isn't terribly inviting so we never used it. Never used the firepit either but we spent so much time in the pool we were tired in the evenings.The yard is not fenced so i enjoyed walks with my two little dogs instead. Bring mosquito spray!The pool was pretty dirty when we got there (algae and sand), and the yard needed to be mowed but I messaged the property manager, and a pool guy arrived, and the yard was mowed.Internet worked well. Never found a desk but I brought my own table anyway.Plenty of Toilet paper and coffee. Lots of dishes, silverware, pots and pans, 2 microwaves, coffee pot. Lots of lighting outside.Lots of bath towels. No beach towels.No games or books were found other than a checkerboard with 3 checkers.There are grocery stores, restaurants, and liquor stores nearby. Could walk to the bay or the beach. Overall, I was very comfortable with the home, and we had a great time.

House was Great-Neighbors not so much

The house was great, exactly as pictured. The property manager was also great. The neighbors on the other hand....were rude and obnoxious very invasive and annoying. They came over multiple times uninvited, it was weird.

Nice little house. Pool is an awesome plus. I do wish it would have had a washer, dryer , and dishwasher. Watch your head when using the bottom lounge area sits really low.

Quiet days in Galveston

This property is pretty much exactly as described. Very quiet neighborhood, basic house setup, pool!, and not a long walk to the beach. We would stay again next time we come to Galveston.

Review

stay was fine except for the rain, most of the dishes were filthy. There were mouse droppings in the window seals where the children could reach. When reaching out to the management I was told someone would come to clean this up but no one showed up. Mouse droppings by the window seal next couch, there is no way the mice were not on the couch. Very disappointing.
