Tremendous staff!

All staff, especially Fredrika at the desk were excellent. They make the hotel extra special. The breakfast was good also. We rented a room with a balcony. It rained and the balcony flooded because the downspout from the roof emptied right into our balcony leaving two inches of water for a day and 1/2. We could not use our balcony that we paid for.

Wonderful place, great staff & location

Wonderful small boutique hotel with an amazing caring, friendly and helpful staff. Good breakfast and coffee drinks. Premium linens and bedding. Very comfortable. Frederica was wonderful and also set up a beach club visit for us along with restaurant recommendations. AC worked great. WiFi worked great. Highly recommend this modern feeling and fully updated property.

Made us feel valued guests

Straight pluses. Good position near to bridge to historic centre which is a nice easy stroll. Big plus, as centre is ZTL, is that there are 5/6 dedicated parking places outside & rest of this quiet street has free parking. Easy walk to station (although so few trains & only 1 destination, probably not much benefit!). Hotel has buzz-in 24hr manned reception. Had sea view room with little balcony with table /chairs (don't be put off by small railway sidings between hotel and water, they are disused and you can see port, marina and across bay with lots of boats). Room was well fitted and had good a/c. Wifi good. Only small minus for us was the bed was on hard side. Good that extras are reasonable ie breakfast (not incl in our special rate) was good for €5 . Solarium with loungers on roof if you want to fry But biggest plus is the staff, all extremely friendly and cheerful and almost everyone with excellent English. They made us feel really valued as a guests. One tip: hotel gives 10% discount cards for some restaurants/bars. You need to Tripadvisor one of these. Can recommend Spingula for lovely setting for sundowners/mixed fish carpaccio.

When I made reservation I had booked twin beds because nothing else was available But there twin beds were half of what a "normal" twin I didn't sleep At all. Staff was very helpful particularly the front desk person who was there when I checked out. Spoke fluent English, Spanish & Italian

Very nice one night stay. Very helpful English speaking receptionist. Great pizza specialist around the corner. Equidistant from the historic centre and the more modern shops and bars. Good value and you won't go wrong with this place. Gallipoli is very picturesque. Matera is a good destination after here.

handy for parking

we picked this hotel because we could park easily and walk into the old town. they gave us a parking permit and we parked on the street right outside the hotel. I t was a lovely traditional hotel with views over the harbour.Our room had a mezzanine and was spacious and comfortable. Gallipoli is fabulous

Fantastic hotel, good rates, great staff

The Hotel Bianco is absolutely fantastic. Lovely rooms, extremely clean hotel and exceptionally helpful staff. The position of the hotel whilst on a back street which at night seems a little quiet, it is actually in a fantastic position just out of the historical part of the town but everything is close enough to walk to. The rates were also great, breakfast was included albeit fairly standard but there is a beautiful view from breakfast out to sea. Overall Gallipoli is wonderful and staying here was perfect, I would recommend to all.

Great Hotel with a few conditions

This is a lovely hotel. The location was terrific. The staff was friendly and helpful. There is no lift so this would not be an appropriate hotel for elderly guests. The breakfast was not as good as some other 4 star hotels I have stayed this trip. There was no English television station like CNN or BBC.

DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL! They gave us a room with a completely broken shower floor, which they had covered with an old, dirty rug. When we saw it, we asked to be moved to another room, but they told us they had no other rooms available and that we had to stay there. We told them we wanted another solution because we hadn’t paid for that. They wanted to make us switch hotels twice in just five days, and we were supposed to sleep two nights in that broken room. The only “solution” they offered was to put another rug on top so it wouldn’t feel as broken while showering. That was their final answer, and they truly considered the problem solved. We asked to speak with the manager, and that experience was terrible. She didn’t offer any solution and laughed at the issue like we were exaggerating. We had to waste 3 hours of one of our vacation days just to get our money back and find another hotel the same day. They didn’t even try to help us or apologize. Awful experience.
