This is a gem of a place - outstanding service, very clean room and bathroom. The room is small but very comfortable. Nice touch that they had turned on the AC well before my arrival, so the room was cool. The breakfast was exceptional with a variety of options, to include tasty local fruits. And the price was unbeatable for what I received in return. I wished I had time to stay another night- alas, this was not within my travel itinerary.

This hotel in the colonial fort area is the best place to stay when in Galle. The hotel is in a safe quiet uncrowded area. The room was quite small while bed was large. Not a lot of room to move around in. The air con was great. The furnishings and amenities were quite old and run down. I did not look forward to coming home to this hotel after a day out. It was not very comfy and inviting. It was okay for a short stay.

The place on the whole was very nice, the room was clean and tidy. The bathroom was OK, but had signs of wear and tear eg chipped tiles. This didn't bother us, but some people may be put off by this. The manager and staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast was brilliant with lots of choices. The kitchen is available to make your own drinks at no charge. All in all a nice place to stay.

The staff were very helpful and attentive. The place is very quirky, lots of narrow stairs and up and downs on the terrace but the staff sorted transporting the cases around. Breakfast was good and plentiful. Would be quite happy to stay again

Satisfactory for one night

Arrived late in the evening and were given a small, simple room. Bathroom very basic. Shower was hot. Cramped bedroom with no wardrobe or space to put out cases. Does the job for a one night stop. We asked for and got a better, more spacious room the next night.

Absolutely loved our stay.

You couldn’t ask for a better place to stay in Galle than this. One of the best places I’ve stayed in for a long time. I loved all the thoughtful touches of a cold juice when you arrive, flowers on the best and them putting on the ac before we arrived so we could arrive to a cool room. Free tea and coffee all day and the use of a fridge and freezer was amazing. Staff were also wonderful and very helpful. Couldn’t ask for more.

Incredible staff. Always wanting to help whenever we needed it. We stayed for 3 weeks and it couldn't have been better! Breakfast so delicious. Cleaned our room on request ... laundry done as we needed and a very reasonable rate.

Great location and good value for inside the fort. You have a balcony outside the room where you can sit in the sun. The room had air con and space for luggage and a mosquito net. The decor and facilities were a bit shabby and out of date and our beds were two singles pushed together. There was also a common area with access to a fridge and tea / coffee.
