Antico Borgo di Montefienali - Apartment il Portico

Borgo di Montefienali is a medieval hamlet , dating back to the 13th Century , was once a resting place along the ancient Roman road that linked the cities Siena and Arezzo. Set at the edge of the Chianti region, it is very isolated and offers the tranquillity of a rural village, combined with the richness of the Tuscan architectonic style consisting of fired bricks, wooden beams and centuries-old stones which were smoothed by nature and time.The hamlet has been restored into 20 private apartments. The garden and pool are shared among all guests.
After a two-year restoration project Montefienali is once more the ideal place for rest and recuperation for both body and mind and an ideal get away from it all. It is a great place to go hiking or for expert bikers through woods and vineyard. This is a resort that puts you in touch with nature. Its high point is the perfect place for the twin swimming pools. There is a 15 mts x 7,5 mt pool and a small children's swimming pool. Sun beds furnish the surrounding garden and terraces to provide a great place for basking in the sun. Pools are open from May to October.
It is available into the apartments a free Wifi connection and in a common area a washing machine.
Few km away you might visit Castles of Meleto, Brolio, Spaltenna and others.  Florence is at 60 km away, Siena 40 km, Arezzo 40 Km, the Chianti towns of Gaiole in Chianti, Castelnuovo Berardenga, San Gusmè are at 15 km away through spectacular winding roads.
Montevarchi train station, connecting Florence or Arezzo in 40 minutes by train, is in 20 minutes by car.

Many restaurants and supermarket are at 10 km away.

Note about the approach road: Approximately 2 km of wide, well maintained,  unpaved road of no particular difficulty followed by a final kilometre of narrow paved road with 100 mtrs of steep slope at 25% . Proceed with caution in case of oncoming traffic.
