Years ago with my wife and kids while camping at Salt Springs campground, we visited the historic site of The Yearling at the Yearling Trail adjacent to Silver Glen Springs. This year we were looking for a hotel to spend the night after a University of Florida Gators game and nothing was available. I came across this property and its cabins and thought it was a terrific idea since we knew the history behind it. We got there a little after 3pm on Saturday and in the restaurant several over the top friendly people helped me out and showed us to our cabin. The room was clean, spacious and cool. It is not a Hampton Inn or a Hyatt, first and foremost. It is The Yearling Restaurant and Cabins. Please know what to expect before you book. The room is clean, cold ac, working tv with directv, microwave, mini-fridge and coffee maker. It is very quiet at night even though the road goes right by it. After the football game we came back and had a good night sleep on a very nice and comfy bed. Unfortunately we had to get going the next morning or we would have done more exploring but it was exactly what I expected when I booked, and actually exceeded my expectations.

THANK YOU!! We are delighted that you were happy with your chance stay with us. We are not a Hampton or Hyatt, your review was spot on. We have 7 restored cabins in the woods, next to The Yearling Restaurant. Thank you for informing sojourners all over, about our little spot! :)
