Location is not quiet, close to highway – nice view on mountains, but slightly noisy. Standard rooms, as always in Mercure. Good parking and wi-fi. Slightly worn-out furniture. Good breakfast. Very nice staff. What was unfair was air-condition failure, while outside it was 30-34 degrees.
Used this Hotel a stopover en route to Italy, It is very close to the AutoRoute, has ample parking and in a quiet location. There was a well stocked bar, pleasant area outside if the weather permits and a restaurant with limited but not a bad choice of food, will certainly stay again if in the area.
Avoid if possible. Éviter si possible. After many trips I've managed to reach the highest level of Accor's loyalty program. Though, having this Platinum membership means nothing to the reception staff of this hotel. After checking the rate of the hotel on Booking's website we decided to go to the hotel to book directly with the receptionist in order to get more points and the benefits that come with the platinum membership. The rate offer to us at the reception was higher than the one on booking.com So we told to the receptionist to match the price. Lisa (The receptionist) told me in a very arrogant way that she could match the lower price but not give me the benefits of my platinum membership. I consider this policy ridiculous. I am disappointed of the Accor group and all the franchised hotels. I will be staying with IHG group from now on because I consider it offers Much BETTER service.
Good property but small rooms. Very less options in food menu. Connectivity by public transport is not that convinent. Staff is good. Little language problem. Wifi is good. Bed is small. Room service is only average.
Enjoyed our stay but disappointed that it was only as we checked out that we became aware of the Mercure offer of free breakfast for over 60's, which we are. As we checked in, it could have been mentioned then. Very nice dinner with good menu choice and very nice staff.
There is no one unused power socket in the room, insufficient light. There is no service on weekend. There was no soap foe washing in the bathroom: they just forgot to put it. Far enough from public transport stop (about 1.5 km to 61 bus stop), from shops and stores.
Recent overnight stay en-route to final destination: Super convenient location; exactly as expected from Mercure - Clean public areas; fresh and tasty food; clean room and great value. Efficient check-in and check out
I have stayed at this hotel many times, and there have been occasional problems in the past, but in general, this is a well run, comfortable hotel. If you are out late and you come back to the hotel in the small hours, be sure to have your mobile phone with you, and make certain that you have the hotel's phone number stored. On one occasion on this trip, when I came back, I got no answer to the doorbell, because the girl was in the back office, and she could not here the bell. Fortunately she did hear the telephone. The restaurant menu does not contain as much variety as I would like. As a result, I only dined in the hotel's restaurant 2 days in 7. If you need a normal amount of wardrobe space, then avoid room 415. This room contains what, might be a structural pillar which blocks off 50% of the wardrobe space, leaving inadequate space even for 1 person's clothes. I don't understand why Mercure didn't put the wardrobe somewhere else, because the room is a good size. I suspect that a few other rooms have the same problem...
good stopover hotel - bit old and need some refurb - friendly service - try to make sure your room is not close to far east tourist if present as these guys are noisy - staff is very friendly and helpful
Comfortable rooms, which are kept fairly clean, tasteful breakfast and the most important thing to mention: no complains from a group of 17-18 years old students who are used to stay in very good hotels when going abroad with their families. Since we have the luxury of a coach for our daily trips to CERN, Bern and Annecy, the distance from the centre of Geneva was not a problem and no taxi was used. The price was good due to the large number of students (20). The staff was very helpful specially when we used the lobby to stay with the students until late. The hotel is a good choice for groups, especially if they have their own means for travelling.
