there is plenty of interest and entertainment within easy reach of the house .The towns of Bergerac and Sainte Foy la Grande have been center of the wine trade on the river Dordogne since medieval times.Both about 15 km radius of Gageac,there are many more chateaux and Bastides (fortified town)than one can explore in one holidays.
Longer day trips can be taken to the upper reaches of the Dordogne and its famous old town of Domme,Sarlat,Rocamadour,or the south to Cahors and the valley of the Lot.
The world of smart shopping, galleries and Operas,an hour and a half drive away in Bordeaux ,as are its golden beaches and famous oyster beds.
Many outdoor recreations are catered for locally.Beautiful golf courses of international reput just 5 kilometers away, at Chateau de Vigiers and several smaller courses in the district.
Sports facilities ,include riding, canoeing on the Dordogne or the Béziers,and tennis at Saussignac.
Last,but not least, there are the vineyards welcome visitors to tasting on their premises.The town of Sarlat is amazing too.Canoe on the river 15 mn from the house ,karting game ,escape game ,and lots more!...

Fantastic villa. Great host!

This property is very very good. En suite bathrooms on all rooms. Each bedroom was well equipped with AC and comfy beds. Lovely living area. Well equipped kitchen. Super outside space and a great pool!! The host is very good at communicating and we were delighted to find some snacks and water for us when we arrived. Ideal to explore the Dordogne region. Would definitely recommend if you are in the area.
