I am a regular member of spa along with my family and also end up with a dinner .The whole place and staff are so nice it is most relaxing experience every time we visit You must try the place - nice spread on food and reasonable price for a star facility
We needed a place to stay for one night. I was looking for a 5-star accommodation but not something that will burn a hole in my pocket. As we needed two rooms, the end amount was burning a hole for most 5-star accommodations. I saw I was able to book two rooms at Ellaa Hotel Gachibowli for under 10,000 for a night from MakeMyTrip. The check in time was 12 noon. As we were arriving at around 6, I had already written an email asking them to keep the rooms ready by 6 as we had to quickly move on to an event that evening. I got an acknowledgment for the email I wrote. Things did not go to plan once we arrived. For starters, Ellaa Hotel Gachibowli is a block of apartments amongst a bigger block of apartments. The lobby was lousy, nothing was up to 3-star standard, let alone 5 star. The staff started promoting a presidential suite as an upgrade, as we were two couples and there was no ensuite available for one of the bedrooms, we decided against it. Even after rejecting, they kept mentioning that this was a lot expensive than what we paid for we must go for this upgrade. When asked to cut the crap and exactly give us our rooms, the truth came out that they were overbooked. We had to wait an hour to get our rooms which was a very poor check in experience. I began to wonder what would have happened if we arrived at 12 noon which was our regular check in time. The moment we got our rooms, we got a call from the reception asking us when we would check out the next day? Seriously? They could have a million problems but did we pay or are we staying for free? Did we have a valid booking or did we just barge in begging for a room? These are not rooms, these are serviced apartments and they are waiting to fall apart. There were no towels in one of our rooms. Everything is so old that it sucks. I am still unable to believe that this is touted as a 5-star property. We arrived at midnight. The air condition would not cool the room enough so I could go to sleep. The beds have spring-based mattresses which are hard and bouncy. The air condition controls were prehistoric and were all set at maximum. The AC vents in the living room were so noisy that I wanted to record that sound but forgot. The towels in the bathroom are so old and of such poor quality that they had become hard and bald after all the usage. They were like matted cloth instead of soft and fluffy. The WC (commode) was placed at a corner in the bathroom with no leg room and space on the left. It was a nightmare everytime I wanted to take a dump. The head shower would not turn on and I had to make do with the hand shower. If you are thinking I am moaning like a sissy, wait till I tell you about the breakfast. It was one of the most pathetic breakfasts I had every eaten in a 5 star establishment. Almost all tables were messy, missing napkins, glasses or cutlery. We settled on one and asked for everything. Everyone was running around, the waiters, as well as the guys in black suits who I guess, were one grade about the servers. The offering was Indian specific and nothing of note was offered in the continental section. There were rock hard stale pastries like croissants and danishes but they were almost unedible. When asked for water, the server just picked up classes randomly and put it on our table. One of the glasses was a used one with a clear indication of lips on the glass. The guys at the live counter were uptight, they were like what and why do you want anything from here. Poori ran out for a good 10 minutes and we had to wait for a refill. I can go on but I have to stop somewhere. That was a disaster of a breakfast. As mentioned above, the place was filthy, disgusting and dirty, there are no words to manage how ill managed this restaurant is. Once we returned to our rooms, we got another call from the reception asking us when we would check out. It was around 10 AM at that time. We informed it would be in an hour or so. In the next 5 minutes, a person came knocking on the door. When asked who he was, I was told he was here to check the room as we were checking out. I have stayed at many hotels, but this one really amused me more than making me angry. How did the heck this property get the 5-star classification? How are serviced apartments being passed as hotel rooms? Yes, what we were given was huge with a living room and a separate bedroom but there was no ensuite. This is not what we wanted or asked for? And the service, check in and the breakfast are beyond words. This feedback will not make an iota of difference as this place probably gets booked for months by corporates who want to technically mention that they have provided 5-star accommodation but at the same time not make a hole in their bank account. A win-win situation for both parties. I guess you can get away with anything. If you are planning a stay at this hotel for a short time, this is not for you as you will get heckled like us. If you are staying for a longer time and someone else is paying for you and you have absolutely no choice and have to take this accommodation, cheer up. It could be worse.
We stayed for three nights at Ellaa Hotel. Stayed with family in June. The entire hotel staffs make you feel welcome. The staffs at the registration and concierge desk are pleasant, respectful and courteous. Even the standard room is amazing - clean, comfortable and spacious. The cleaning staffs really take pride in keeping the room clean. The room has large working desk, comfy sofa chair, safe deposit box, iron w/ board, amenities that business person needs. The hotel has a number of facilities on site - indoor large swimming pool and a gym. The staffs at the reception are one of the best I have ever experienced at hotels. I would specifically mention about Ms. Jharana, who welcomed us at the reception and made our stay memorable. She is thorough professional, courteous and pleasant person. She ensured that we got best of the rooms and facilities. She is a perfectionist who ensures that the hotel guests are given best of the facilities. We really enjoyed sumptuous breakfast and dinner. A vast variety of mostly Indian but also Western selection of food and very tasty. We have decided to keep coming back to Elllaa hotel every time we visit Hyderabad.
It was a business/official trip with few of my foreign colleagues, rooms are awesome, ambiance is very pleasant and relaxing, location very nice, response for reception people is mixed (half of them are very warm n welcoming, and others are robotic). Also, would like to share few incidences 1. In this visit they charged me 2 Mountain Water Bottles (worth Rs. 253) as In-room dining, which I didn't order. 2. They charged and sent a Watermelon Juice to one of my colleague's room, which he didn't order. 3. They took my signature on someone else's buffet dinner bill, later taken out. 4. And above all (during my previous visit) they took second signature from one of my colleague (after me) on my buffet dinner bill, with a reason that "my signature mismatched".... lol
We stayed there for two days with friends and family ( 8 adults and 8 kids ) we were so happy with reception staff for their superb hospitality skills. But when it comes to swimming pool the staff's approach to kids ( may be too naughty our kids are !) found to be rude. When I asked one to take a photograph he accepted with a rude face and immediately handed over the phone to the cleaning staff and left the scene with a knocking boot! I didn't get a chance to say sorry even. Next was with restaurant, the food was really delicious but the Dosa maker got angry when kids asked for variety dosas! It seems they aren't prepared to cater group customers! Rest is OK but I won't recommend them to anyone again!
I was keen to stay here as it is very close to ISB, where I wanted to visit my son. Was very excited to see that the rates for a suite were very reasonable. But suites doesn't mean luxury, just value for money. Nice neat rooms, a small apartment in fact. But basic. No complaints really, the hotel needs to relook at the upholstery, and tighten up on their room service issues.
Hi all, I have visited this hotel to meet my friend, it provides free wifi, laundry, and the location was in gachibowli close to all software companies, maintainence was excellent and finally good hotel at good price!
Is a good budget hotel in an amazing location. Giving quick access to the corporate zone of the city. Beware of the staff, due to being a budget hotel.. I felt the hotel staff was not good with communicating well with customers. If you are regularly used to checking inn good branded hotels, then you might have a difficult time with the staff. As just the feel of this hotel is rich but truly it is been operated by an inexperienced staff.
awesome hospitality. Recommended any day. Stayed there for 2 days felt refreshing with spa's. food was delicious. Enjoyed the complementary breakfast. Suite was awesome. well decorated and comfortable.

The front lounges were soo accomdative , they provided us complimentary English daily newspapers the rooms are quite spacious and accomdative, the rooms are well wooden furnished, the mattresses are soo soft, the lighting are customisable , the air-conditioning and ventilation were soo good.. overall it's a best budget hotel with all necessary amenities ....
