Good, but not great
Leaving with mixed feelings.
Great appartment with huge balcony overlooking ocean. A bit far from center of Funchal, but bus stop is nearby.
Apartment complex is beautifully designed with 3 pools, one is infinity.
So why mixed feelings? A few things:
There’s construction nearby, so from 8 to 6 there’s a bit of noise. It’s not too bad, but it will be a while till construction is over.
If/when you need to throw away garbage, there’s one(!) set of bins somewhere deep in garage, so you need to walk there every time. Took us a while to even find it. Which brings us to property management - no information about anything(say, garbage disposal). We had all lights going out once on us (including refrigerator and internet) and tried to contact appartment’s management - they got back to us after midnight with suggestion to check electrical panel :) By that time we’ve addressed the issue with help from receptionist.
Appartment offers good size kitchen, but if you plan to do any cooking, better buy some kitchen utensils, not much at all is available. Even knives, forks,and spoons are in short supply.
