Did not fulfill expectations!!

For two old age pensioners it was far from ideal as it was such a long way from the city and at evenings /weekends the buses were very poor which meant a lot of taxi fares, I would suggest you need a car if staying here!The noise from the highway can be quite loud and there was a problem with the next door dogs barking through the night which stopped once I complained to the neighbours, the host suggested I phone the police Never saw or spoke to the host only messaged Would I return, in a word No - but I really loved the island and will definitely return and stay In The old town!

Beautiful View, but BEWARE of mold issues

Madeira itself is a beautiful island. This property has beautiful views and is minimalist in design with plenty of storage. We took Bolt up the hills from the old town. Very steep terrain everywhere. Beware of mold issues at this location. I am sensitive to black mold which is present at the house. I did report it to the property manager.

Beautiful view of Funchal bay

The house is located about 10 min bus ride, line 37, from Funchal downtown. We also rented a car and parked on the house property. The house is close to a highway, but it didn't seem to bother us. We loved drinking perfect Madeira wine on the tarace with a beautiful view of Funchal at night. Andrea is a gem, really easy to communicate with.

Fabulous villa

We spent 4 nights in this wonderful villa, and it was fabulous. It was spotless, had absolutely everything we needed and we had a great time. It felt like home, dishcloths, tea towels, detergent for all appliances, even sun cream and shower products were provided. We have stayed in about 20 properties whilst travelling and no where has had provisions like this, it’s rare. Plenty of outside space in the sun and shade and lovely comfy beds and bedding. Much better than the photos provided, easy transfer from the airport and a wonderful island. Thank you very much.

Wonderful private villa with wonderful views ! Did not realize it was a bit remote from Funchal. Would recommend car rental.

Self catering Madeira

The pictures of this property did not do it justice. Our first reaction was 'WOW'! It is a beautiful rental with a wrap around terrace. There is an outside barbecue together with fuel. The house overlooks the sea. It is magical at night watching over the city lights. Inside there are 2 double ensuite bedrooms. Both bathrooms have marble tiling and incredible showers. The living area is open plan. The kitchen has absolutely everything supplied. It has granite worktops with the cooker set into an island. It also has an American fridge and dishwasher. There is a TV in the living area with free WiFi. We didn't rent a car. Madeira is very hilly with very narrow streets but the bus service is terrific. The 37 or 38 is just a few minutes walk from the house. Thank you Andreia for making our first visit to Madeira so perfect. Your place is a wonderful rental.

Location conforme Ă  la description, propre et bien situĂ©e avec magnifique vue sur la baie de Funchal sans bruit d'avion. Informations avec le concierge trĂšs bien et les informations du concierge pour le sĂ©jour (lieux Ă  voir , curiositĂ©s, restaurants...) super.Quelques remarques cependant:Chiens du voisins aboyants une bonne partie de la nuit(des locataires prĂ©cĂ©dents l'ont Ă©galement notĂ© sur le cahier d'instructions de la maison sans rĂ©sultats apparemment) L'autoroute passant 100m au dessus de la maison bruit. pas de problĂšme pour nous car fenĂȘtres fermĂ©es la nuit mais en saison chaude??Enfin une place de parking est prĂ©vue mais j'y ai renoncĂ© car l'accĂšs est plutĂŽt compliquĂ© et ma voiture n'Ă©tait pas Ă©norme (Seat LĂ©on)

Beautiful island - living in an awesome house

We arrived in the middle of the night but Andreia told us everything of how to get into the house and left the lights on. She was always very friendly and told us so many things about the island (we can definitely recommend her recommendation - the Muralha restaurant in Ribeira Brava)! The house is quite big - two bedrooms with 2 bathrooms en suite. And another separate toilet which was absolutely fantastic und luxurious. The kitchen is very modern with big windows to see the sunlight. The interior was very nice and we felt like home. The best part of the house was the outdoor area. We always had breakfast on the beautiful terrace with that amazing view. And in the evening we always sat at the front terrace where the lounge was to have drinks and see the ocean and Funchal at night. The parking lot is awesome if you’ve got a car. It’s also very easy to take a bus to Funchal (number 38). The neighbours were also very friendly and helped us to find the buses. We will definitely come back to that beautiful place! We highly recommend booking the house and see for yourself!
