Last year we were four. This year we were ten ! Changed my room at arrival with small difficulty as hotel full (7/14April). Again nothing to fault at this hotel. We were All Inclusive and food was as good as before. Grand children loved the Kids Club and wanted to stay there most of the day. My daughters had to struggle to get her children out !! Staff at the restaurant worked incessantly and yet were friendly and accommodating. My son in law had birthday cake prepared especially for him & table decorated nicely. These people are just great !! Staff at Reception also very helpful. The management of this hotel must be complimented for keeping their staff happy. The food quality and the different fresh fish every day was a great surprise for me who likes fish !

We've just returned (16th April) from a 1 week all inclusive stay at this hotel. We only booked a couple of months ago and had read mixed reviews here on Trip Advisor. We travelled as a family of four, our two kids are 9 and 6 years old. The hotel itself is based in a great location, beach and small harbour are a 15 minute scenic walk along the coastal path, or you can walk through the centre (where the shops and bars are) which takes approximately 10 minutes. Our room was more than adequate (1202) and based at the quieter end of the complex. The building work is going on next to the Antigua part of the complex, next to the lively pool. On the subject of pools there are two, the afore mentioned pool is where all the daytime activities are based. The other pool is more central, but a lot quieter, and a lot colder! There's a kids club, small playground and arcade room to keep the kids entertained, although both of mine were happy in the lively pool all day. Food was good, albeit a little bit repetitive, although to be fair there were some different themed items in the evening and at lunchtime. There's a snack bar by the pool where you have to order lunch (hotdog's/chips/etc) and you can get ready made sandwiches and ice creams. The main restaurant also opens for buffet lunch. Breakfast is the standard fry up buffet/cereals and continental offering. The hotel is a multi-national place, lots of English but also a lot of French and Germans. It was nice not to be in a solely English environment. Advice on sun beds, get down around 8am and leave somebody sitting with your towels, that is if you want to be close to the pool! There are signs stating you can't reserve them but the pool attendants/management seem to be hit and miss on the enforcement. Leave the towels at your peril, as you may get one of the days they do remove them! The staff are excellent, the bar staff and waiters are always extremely welcoming and polite. Reception was busy at drop off, but they work quickly and are also very helpful. Entertainment is okay. Kids disco from 20:15 until around 21:00. The evening shows then moved inside (possibly due to the time of year). The only issue here is that there are limited tables available once the little ones have been to the disco, you may struggle to get one. This may change during the summer months. Entertainment is a mix of local dancers/singers/etc and the hotel entertainment team putting on shows. Generally very good. Roberto needs a shout out, he works tirelessly by the pool in the daytime and is always interacting with the kids/adults in the evening. Always full of energy, funny and polite. Overall a good hotel to stay at with great staff.

My family and I had a fantastic weeks stay at this hotel. There was myself my husband and 3 kids, 18, 16 and 10 years. We had a 2 bedroom apartment 1302 which was spacious and clean. We didn’t have a sea view, we looked out to the front of hotel which was fine. The staff were all lovely, food good and the entertainment team fantastic. I’d like to especially thank Roberto for making my husband laugh so much! Freddie rocks! My 10 year old loved the kids club and staff and was sad to say goodbye. My only suggestions to the hotel would be more staff at reception on check in to speed up the process. Also the glass in our door window rattled really badly when it was very windy. We did report it but in the end resorted to using folded paper to try and stop it. Maybe maintenance could take a look. Overall our stay was really good and We would definitely come back and recommend to others.

Are second visit what a great hotel, staff are amazing very friendly ,food here is incredible Mercedes is a credit to the restaurant, we would recommend it to families couples and can't wait to return.

Just booked 4 weeks for next January , stayed at the San Jorge a few times now and over 8 years of spending hols in Caleta de Fuste and staying in various hotels this is the one we love out of the rest and can’t see us booking anywhere else for our winter holiday. We love the location right on the rugged coastline and yet just a stroll to the beach , all on the flat easy access to all the resort ,hotel staff are brilliant from the cleaners to the wonderful Mercedes and gang in the restaurant, see you all in December just in time for New Year spectacular gala x

First time at this hotel and it was a pleasant experience. Rooms need fresh painting as the paint was yellowing and the floor tiles chipped but a good large adequate space. On arrival only had two bath towels and one hand towel, no bath mat for two of us. Next day we were given full amount of towels. Cups, coffee and milk in room were not replenished daily and it would have been nice to have some bottles of water ready in the fridge for your arrival until you find your way around. We stayed in a double room marketed as Deluxe but we felt it fell short of this description although it was clean and adequate. We were placed in the second building which was better for us (two adults) as the pool area was quieter. The main building pool was extremely busy, lots of children and beds very close together. Snack bar we felt was poor and disappointing and mostly frozen, fried and processed food, a waste of a good resource. Buffet restaurant food was good and varied although a lack of soft fruit and berries, just apples/pears/bananas and oranges. Be warned as the island is extremely windy, we were lucky as we had some lovely weather but there is a constant wind and sometimes very strong, had to wear my wool coat a few times!!! So do take some layers for the evenings. Lovely long promenade walk along the back of the hotel which can take an hour to walk the length of. Not a lot of shopping available, we managed to find the Saturday market which was mostly fake goods, although there is a lovely stall which sells silver jewellery so don't visit if you don't intend to buy fake bags/belts/purses etc. There is a lovely small shopping area just to the back of the harbour which is worth a visit. Lovely friendly staff and very relaxed hotel, No requirement to provide room no. for breakfast or lunch and can sit where you chose at all times. Dinner relaxed so no tablecloths. No help with luggage on arrival to room or when leaving and make sure you put the paperwork and room/safe keys safely on receipt as no wallet provided and we lost our safe key en route to find our room and had to pay an extra 10 euros to have the safe barrel replaced which took literally a minute, so ended up paying 30 euros for the use of the safe for one week which we thought was quite expensive. Not enough hangers in wardrobe so take some in your suitcase if you want to hang more than 10 items for your family.

We arrived mid afternoon and were checked in efficiently. Our room, as requested had a sea view and was spotlessly clean and on the second floor. We had been allocated a room in the San Jorge part of the hotel which we enjoyed as it was quieter than the other building but still had a swimming pool and bar during the day. We went all inclusive- the food was fine, the drinks plentiful ( we weren't keen on the local whisky though!) and the choice varied - they also provided packed lunches if desired.. The most impressive thing about the hotel was the staff - they were incredibly friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The evening entertainment was ok - depends what you want. The hotel was close to all amenities and the local area had lots of eating places, shops etc. We were lucky with the weather and did one day trip around the island. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Returned for our 8th year and the 3 of us were upgraded to a double bedroom sea view apartment, the extra space was really useful, unfortunately as the huge balcony was north facing it was invariably too windy to use. Already looking to return next year, will need to look at prices for the larger apartment as we enjoyed the extra space.

Been to this hotel 3 times in the last two years and have never been disappointed! Me and my mum decided to stay for 2 weeks in March and what a holiday it was! As always food really good but plenty of lovely restaurants around if you fancy a change. All staff friendly from reception, bar, waiting, chefs, cleaners and maintenance. Special mention to entertainment staff who clearly work long hours but always have a smile on there face and make the hotel 1000% more enjoyable! We had room 1112 it was clean and big with a pool view and was the nicest room we have stayed in at this hotel. We will defiantly return and can’t wait for another holiday. Thank you all for everything you do and the great service you provide to make it a great holiday.
