Barceló Castillo Royal Level

We have just returned from our holiday. Had a great and relaxing time and the staff were friendly and worked hard to provide good service at dinner and breakfast. The food was good but my 4 year old daughter struggled with the food options. The pool was small and crowded within the royal level but their was plenty other choice within the wider resort. Looking forward to returning very soon.

Been to this hotel for 15 years seen many changes and it's superb. Would not go anywhere else. Location is fabulous. Staff are so friendly and you are well looked after. Going back in three weeks this will be my third visit this year. Can't wait to get back.

Two weeks ago we enjoyed a wonderful stay in Barcelo Royal Level. This was our first trip to the Canaries and obviously our first in Fuerteventura. We could not have chosen a better hotel to stay in. A week before arrival, received an email from Barcelo confirming details of our stay and what to expect, asking if we have special requests and for details of our arrival. The hotel was approximately 17 minutes from the airport and we paid 13 euros. Upon arrival in the light and airy reception, we were ushered to the Royal Level dedicated check in where we were given delicious welcome drinks of freshly squeezed orange juice. Although check in was a bit longer than the normal desk, I was told because it was personalised which was exactly what it was.The lovely receptionist took us to our hotel suite and there was a complimentary bowl of fruit and bottle of champagne on the dining table. Also, everything in the mini bar was free. The suite was spotless and you are greeted with a beautiful scent when you enter it. Beautiful views of the sea and pool from the balcony of our suite. The pool was always quiet with only a few families around. The lifeguard was always very nice and attentive. The food at the exclusive (Premium guests only) El Ancla was superb for breakfast and dinner. Lots of options with pancakes, eggs freshly made for you and smoothies as well. For dinner, tuna freshly cooked right in front of you.The staff were very hospitable and accommodating always with smiles on their faces. The best bit though is the freshly squeezed orange juice every single morning. There was a lot of activities around the hotel as it is next to the beach and the marina. You get 30 % off in other restaurants if you are a premium guest. On our second day, we were already planning when to go back. My only complaint would be the beds, although comfortable, to make a double bed they just push together 2 single beds and our daughter who sleeps on our bed on holidays gets stuck between so we have to push her to one side regularly during the night. Overall a great stay in a great hotel. We (me, husband and 8 yr old daughter) have stayed in various hotels all over the world and Barcelo has become one of our favourites.

Excellent stay in yet another ,for us new Hotel, great service hope to see you again soon.Food was excellent worth the extra for Premier ,right on the edge of the bay, great view every morning.Staff left no stone unturned. We travel a lot and always 5 star so for us it was second best, however it rated a 5 star for service and food alone. Will visit again .Fuerventura lacks 5Star hotels however we can always rely on Barcelo Royal level to give us an alternative.

Would certainly recommend the Premium Level to anyone and will certainly return. From first arrival to leaving every member of staff were incredibly friendly always busy always smiling. A credit to this hotel.

Excellent service throughout our stay. Would definitely return and also recommend to others. Location couldn't be better and also plenty of places to walk in safety. Mini golf great with a lovely man who runs it.

First time in fuerteventura and had wonderful service at Barcelo royal level. Room at block 4 was excellent. I was particularly pleased of how clean everything thing was . Pool and surrounding gardens immaculate. Food was good quality maybe a little more choice in the evening. But overall something for everyone.

Nice welcome with separate check in for premium all inclusive, room one of the best we've ever stayed in, food very good, nice pool options, generally a lovely resort. However.... if you pay for all inclusive and expect to be able to have a quiet drink in the evening or watch a band, guitarist, singer etc, forget it. The entertainment can be best be described as Saturday Kids club so if you don't have a young family and don't like the kind of entertainment where children and parents are dragged on stage while everybody shouts and screams this is probably not for you. It was so bad we walked to the nearby town and paid for drinks, which defeats the point of all inclusive. When the 'entertainment' stops about 10.45 and if you have managed to tolerate it for that long you have 15 minutes to grab a drink before the bar is no longer free to all inclusive. As premium level customers (and other all inclusives do not have this option), we had the option of going to the so called 'chill out' bar at the end of the jetty, but their interpretation of chill out seems to be 80s pop music rather than actual chill out music so one drink there was enough. We would have welcomed flamenco, band, singer, anything other than what was offered as entertainment in the only bar area for the vast majority of customers. We would not return to this resort because of this which is a shame as the resort overall is great. One other point, there is little evidence of recycling, particularly plastic waste which is concerning bearing in mind the amount of waste that must be generated.

This is the first time We have stayed in this place as we have stayed in the barcelo fuertaventura previous and fancied a change. The place itself is in a great location next to the harbour and the sea view was great.. the hotel itself doesn't come across as a hotel though as the rooms are more like 1 bed apartments with a kitchen area.. this wasn't a problem though as it was good to be able to make a drink etc ... there were issues with the room .. the tv in our room disks work and the one in the room The signal dropped out all the time .. as the pics show the pool Area needs a bit of re pointing in the tiles and the cleanliness left a bit to be desired too ! The breakfast you went to the harbour upstairs and the food was decent if not the hottest .. the beans were a bit like bullets most days and the service again left a bit to be desired as the didn't smile very much ! The pool area was nice and quiet which was good and they come round with a sandwich and fruit during the day which was a nice touch .. one thing though the guy at the pool bar just stood looking around all day why not get him walking round asking people If they would like a drink a couple of times ?? .. bit of advise if you are wanting to book here .. it's a fair walk to the main part of caleta where the bars and restaurants are so if you have a problem walking I personally would book the barcelo fuertaventura as it's closer to the main area of the resort

4th time have stayed here. First time in the Royal level. The room were kept spotless even washing up was done for you. Great location, but the end apartament could be a little more private as it is next to the footpaths in high season you would feel you were sat on the walkway also could be very noisy with the gate been banged all the time. Breakfast was very good and plenty of choice. Every member of staff from reception to cleaners were fantastic. The hot tub was a nice touch early in the year when cooler weather, not sure you would use it in summer. The resort is very clean and in excellent repair seems it is kept maintained regardless of cost.
