Nice place to stay but needs improvement

House is at a great location where you have an ocean view from the balcony all the time. I would recommend a few changes; place is listed for 14 people but there is only a sofa in the living room so not enough seating arrangement for 14 people. Also outside area downstairs needs some work; Lights were not working and there were no sitting area for family to sit outside at night and enjoy the sea breeze. In any case we did enjoy our stay but the experience can be even better with above mentioned items.

Lovely stay

Our family enjoyed our stay in this house. It was really clean, kitchen had the utensils, pots, pans etc that one would need. There were even utensils kids can use. We also appreciated the whole house water softener and the reverse osmosis system in the kitchen sink. Would love to request a larger and sturdier cutting board. Also, we used the grill our second day there but only 1 burner was working. Nonetheless, it was still a really great place to stay and just a short walk to the beach.

Nice and clean, cute house.

This house was super cozy. Not too big but big enough to comfortably house 11 people. It was perfect for myself and my family. Close to just about anything you may need during your stay. Our hosts were very accommodating with everything. Answered promo to all of my messages. Will more than likely be staying here again in the future!

Great little getaway from Houston

We rented this great house for a last minute mini-family getaway during Spring Break. Newly renovated and wonderfully decorated, we had everything we needed for my family of 6 (2 adults and 4 kids, ages 14, 11, 5 and 2), including beach toys and towels, a pack n play and booster seat for my 2-year old, and even plenty of bathroom products as well cleaning products for the kitchen and washer/dryer downstairs. I slept great in the king primary bedroom - the mattress is a dream! The middle kids loved the bunk room. And my oldest loved being able to have her own space downstairs. Communication with the owner was great and it was lovely to read about the history of the house. Surfside is a low-key beach destination without all that commercialization of other beach towns and so convenient to Houston. Its not a far drive from the rental house to the free beach and I would recommend doing that to get away from any crowds on the paid beach. Would definitely recommend this house for anyone wanting to stay here!

Relaxing Weekend Get Away

From the moment we walked in the door - we loved this beach house. The house was clean and exactly what we were looking for. They have items placed thru out the home with children in mind. We loved walking to the water and also relaxing in the beach house watching movies and playing card games. Amazing beach house and we will absolutely rent again!!

family get together

Beautiful remodeled beach house. We would definitely consider it for our next stay. I would recommend mosquito repellent they were vicious! Also, I started a load of towels before we left, had a bit of trouble getting the washer to start, hopefully it ran the entire cycle.

Beautiful house, fantastic location!

We had a wonderful stay at the Surfsonian! The house was comfortable and everyone had plenty of space - our boys thought the bunk room was the best ever, and our teenage nieces loved the space in the downstairs bedroom. The house was well-appointed and stocked with everything we needed, as well as many things that were thoughtful 'above and beyond' items compared to other places we've stayed. The location was perfect, close enough to see and hear the waves and enjoy the sea breeze but isolated from the foot and road traffic. It's an easy walk to the beach or over to the little grocery store, coffee shop, etc. Everyone agreed this house was the perfect location for the most relaxing vacation we've had! Hoping we will be back soon!

Cozy home

As soon as we walked it the house, it felt like home. My family and I enjoyed our stay, we slept comfortably and the back patio was relaxing. Especially at night when you get the nice night breeze!

Perfect beach stay!

Super charming beach house! We had everything we needed for our stay! The house is adorable and well appointed with comfortable beds and even shampoo in the shower! The beach was a quick and easy walk and not too crowded. Thanks so much for hosting us… we had a great time!

Meant to Be

We had an awesome time staying at this beautiful home! This was a family trip that almost wasn’t. Our reservation in Port A was cancelled a week before we were due there; as the townhouse we reserved was sold. We instead found ourselves on Surfside Beach in a great location and a beautiful and well-appointed home! Thank you, Kat and Roger for being such kind hosts and saving our family vacation!
