Room was spotless and amazing views. If you’re looking for a quiet but beautiful cabin to stay in but that is close to the city, this is the place! Only 15mins away from Fredericksburg. The night sky is beautiful out there! We cooked some steaks on the bbq pit and ended the night in the hot tub with a bottle of wine. The owners were only a text away and answered right away when we had any questions. This place has our highest recommendations, we will definitely be coming back!

The cabin was thoughtfully decorated and extremely comfortable. We both thought it was the perfect distance to Fredricksburg. There were a couple of things that disappointed both my husband and I. First, the shower pressure was dismal and the fact that I couldn’t actually use the big beautiful bathtub was a downer. We loved the hotub and used it night and day, but washing up after our daily hikes were not hot tub appropriate. Another thing that was bothersome was the limited amount of k-cups for the keurig. There were only 6 cups, which meant 1 cup of coffee for each of us a day. We picked up groceries for our stay, but since the owner mentioned that coffee was provided, we did not think to bring any. Finally, we were asked to wash our dishes upon check out. I did wash our dishes (although there was no hot water at the sink faucet), but I am a mother of 4; I was looking for a break from some of the mundane tasks that I do day to day, like washing dishes, especially on my limited vacation.

We had a wonderful stay at City on a Hill in Fredericksburg, TX! The cabin was cozy, private, and perfect for a weekend getaway from all the noise. We especially loved the jacuzzi, the well-equipped kitchenette, and the peaceful view of the creek and sky from the back patio. It was everything we needed to relax and recharge. Highly recommend for anyone looking to unwind in a beautiful, quiet setting!

The views from our cabin were wonderful and perfect for a morning coffee or an evening glass of wine. The cabin was clean and comfortably furnished, better than the pictures. It is a bit of a drive to Fredericksburg and local attractions, but to us it was worth it. The proprietor is a lovely person. We would definitely stay again!

We had a lovely time at City on The Hill. We were looking for somewhere secluded with a view of nature. Our cabin at did not disappoint. We stayed at Grace and it was perfect for our long weekend needs. We bought groceries with us and were able to cook breakfast and a few meals. We had a hot plate with us but there was also one provided in the cabin. There is an outdoor grill on site for use which we didn't get to use simply due to time constraints. So many other amenities were provided that we enjoyed - there were ample towels provided in the bathroom and near the hot tub (which we enjoyed), coffee pods and creamer. I can not recommend this place highly enough. I will definitely be back. My only slight concern was that there was a bit of dust buildup on the TV stand and toaster when we got there. I washed and wiped everything down before use of course but I'm sure having a house cleaner come immediately prior to our stay would my ideal wish before we go back. I also think that the previous guests had pets with them because I found a few random dog hairs. Other than what was mentioned, it was truly a magical weekend at this oasis away so do yourself a favor and book this cabin for your next remote getaway.
