Huge booking mistake...was our problem not theirs!

My husband booked a whole vacation online for our family for Legoland we thought. On check-in day, we arrived at the hotel and found out that he had made a huge mistake while booking the hotel...he choose the Denmark location instead of the California location. We didn't get to stay at the hotel in CA because they were booked and when we tried to call Denmark (because of the difference in time zone) they were closed. The next day Orbitz tried to call the hotel and get our full refund because they understood it was an honest mistake but Legoland Hotel in Denmark said no. They called us a no show and didn't care about our mistake. Thankfully, Orbitz was great and refunded us half of the amount because they understood the error. Even though they didn't have to help they did and for that I will remain a faithful Orbitz customer but I cannot believe Legoland Hotel didn't care at all. I hate to say it but this wouldn't have happened with Disney. We weren't asking for freebies or trying to trick anyone out of anything. It was a human error. The worst part is, our kid was super disappointed about not staying at the Legoland Hotel.

Legoland Holiday Village

Well decorated pirate room theme

Well decorated ... but the room I paid extra for was for four adults and one child. In all reality it barely could accommodate twould adults and one child. Thank goodness we were only staying one night to sleep over prior to visiting Legoland. Photos were taken from angles to maximize the depiction of a much larger room ... very misleading.
