We were pleasantly surprised by our two bedroom villa, being privately owned meant there was more outdoor furniture and a modern kitchen, bathroom. The resort has great facilities and makes for such a relaxing holiday when the kids are happy! The sunsets are next level and soo much wildlife to be seen off the jetty. We will be back!

Had to wait till 3.30pm to get into room. WIFI was non existent. Staff were apologetic and polite. Don't think it is worth the price for what you get, as you get at other Resorts.

This property was way over priced for very poor quality. The room was dirty. The bed uncomfortable, pullows large and dont provide adequate neck support. Not a king bed 2x singles pushed together. Mini fridge not stocked up. Rubbish under the bed. The only good thing was the prawn platter at sunset bar but the poor bar man do on his own and i didnt get my playter till everyonr left and it was dark. Kind of missed the point of sunset canopies. Sand and dune carbonara was disgusting. Pork belly salad good. Would not return for the price and qualitybof the hotel

There was a red flashing light in the main bedroom that continued during the night and was so bright it lit up the room and the fan was so noisy. Could not sleep much for 3 nights spoke to reception and nothing was done. Staff were un helpful during the stay. They wernt friendly tried to talk and ask questions about different things and they wernt interested in giving answers. Food was very adverage at 2 restaurants and pricy.

All the resort staff we met were friendly, keen to help and knowledgeable. The resort Rangers were exceptional, we attended 5 guided walks and talks about K'gari's plants and animals and geology. Each Ranger was extremely knowledgeable about their subject matter, and communicated in a clear and engaging style with a wide range of people who attended the activities However, the general condition of the resort was less than expected, and bordered on being "tired". Money needs to be spent of improving the resort centre and the rooms in our opinion The on-site food outlets were expensive for the quality offered, while the "village" shop price gauged by 30%+ compared to shops on the mainland

Kingfisher Resort offered most things, we were disappointed that one of the pools was closed. One of the restaurants (Sand Bar and Bistro) was also closed. This left limited options for meal times. Staff were turning people away from the main Sand and Wood restaurant and advising people to go to Dune instead. This was despite only four tables being occupied! Not good when you have only just arrived.

Very comfortable and spacious family villa, requested air conditioning and loved how cool.the summer nights were with this feature. The customer service on check in was extremely good, the power had gone out but it was still easy and the lady serving was very friendly. The only thing that was disappointing was there were ants in our villa and we didn't realise so they managed to get into my sons birthday cake, when I asked a staff member at reception if there were any options to try and replace it with something, even just a muffin or anything? and still sing happy birthday she just said no, she didn't even ask the kitchen or anything.
