3 bedroom, 2 bath country farmhouse featuring spacious bedrooms with comfy beds & plenty of closet space. Master bed/bath equipped with adjustable bed & jacuzzi tub. In addition to the 3 bedrooms, the home also has a king-size pullout sofa in one of the 2 living areas for added sleeping space. Big kitchen that is well stocked with all the essentials such as pots, pans, utensils & diningware. Beautiful river & mountain views from inside or outside the home to wake up to each morning, along with complimentary coffee & breakfast snacks provided. River access within walking distance at Mainspring's Gibson Bottoms site where guests can fish, float or splash around in the Little Tennessee River. Property boasts a nice, big yard with long-horn cattle grazing just on the other side of the fence . With Franklin being named the "Gem Capital of the World”, there are numerous gem mines, which are open to the public, in the nearby Cowee Valley area where native rubies and sapphires have been mined for years. The Cowee School Arts & Heritage Center can also be found nearby, along with many other historical sites & places to explore. Plenty of opportunities to enjoy the great outdoors! River floating tubes & fishing poles are provided for those who want to float or fish the fascinating Little Tennessee River. The house was nicely decorated for Christmas which was a nice extra benefit.We tried multiple times to connect with host to get the wifi working which affected tv also. I tried to connect on my lap top and sent them my phone number but I only received a response that since we weren't home when they came by and I was told since I neglected to leave the key in the lock box when I went out even though nowhere in any instructions did it say to do that I had a message that said basically too bad and never responded to my request later. So no internet for a week.We also asked them about the fact the gas fireplace was not working anymore and it was quite cold in the house could they look at that as well. Never did anything. Fortunately it did get warmer in Franklin so the last few days were okay.
