We had a truly wonderful stay at this Augusta, NJ home from April 15–19. It suited our needs perfectly as we gathered with a large group of family and friends to celebrate our son’s wedding. With events taking place nearby in Andover and at Waterloo Village, the location was incredibly convenient and made the entire experience feel seamless.The home itself was a fantastic fit for our group—spacious, comfortable, and very much reminiscent of the large family home we once owned before retiring to Florida. It provided the perfect setting for reconnecting, relaxing, and celebrating together, which meant a lot to us.The amenities were just as described and met our expectations well. While there was no outdoor spa as noted, everything else contributed to a very enjoyable and comfortable stay.We did encounter a bit of difficulty with our early check-in, but the host was gracious throughout and exceptionally responsive and communicative, which we greatly appreciated. Their attentiveness made a real difference and helped ensure everything went smoothly overall.We would absolutely recommend this home to others, especially for larger gatherings or special occasions. It played a meaningful role in making an important family milestone even more memorable.

The host was very attentive and responds quickly. He was also very accommodating and let us check in early and check out late before asking. The house is also spacious and suited our party well, providing all the necessary amenities, even house slippers.

this home is not as it is pictured. it is very worn and not well maintained for the price point. i do not think the home was cleaned and prepared properly for our arrival. the heat was off it was 50 degrees when we arrived and took several hours to warm up. the bedding is old and dated and we needed to find bedding wash it and remake our beds due to finding sheets not clean. amenities were scarce. there is a problem with yellow jackets among other insectsin the home. we had to vacateone of the rooms upstairs in the night because of the bees and we killed several during our stay. we communicated some of these issues to the host and were told they would work on doing a better job. this didn’t help our situation and we were already under much stress from our mother passing away and the reason for the rental. we have not had a chance to follow up with vrbo and since i have not been in this position beforenot sure what if anything can be done. may be water under the bridge.

Scam photos & description: Do not rent

These people are running a full scam. Photos and description make it seem serene and luxurious. In reality this house is in the middle of a busy town and neighborhood. Warehouses all over and constant traffic. Also the “driving range” is down a busy street with tons of cars. Or you can track 30 minutes through the woods House manager is also overseas and knows nothing about the property. Owner is obviously a scam artist. Rent any other house than this.

Labor Day Weekend getaway

Overall our time spent at this home was great! It was the perfect place for all of our friends to meet up for labor day weekend and reconnect after some of us have moved away. The pond wasn't very swimmable - the water plants were so tall they were touching the surface/just beneath the surface from the bottom of the pond and it was quite shallow. Was fine for us to float on but again, not really swimmable. The home owner was quick to respond when the front door automatic lock wasnt working and we werent able to access the property which we were grateful for!

Amazing Stay

We booked this space as we were having a wedding nearby and it was perfect! We had a blast fishing in the lake, playing golf, and grilling on the patio! The rooster was a little aggressive when going to feed the chickens, but besides that, the place had absolutely everything! We did wish there were a little more bathrooms given the space hosts 16 guests, but we made it work. Overall, it was really fun staying here!

Tranquil Retreat

The cleanliness of the space was impeccable, offering a refreshing start to our stay. With an ample number of beds, our team found comfortable accommodations, ensuring everyone rested well throughout our time together. The spacious layout allowed for productive meetings and relaxed gatherings, complemented by seamless communication with the hosts. However, our excitement for fresh eggs was dashed by an overly protective rooster, resulting in an unexpected encounter. While it added a memorable anecdote, it was a missed opportunity for a farm-fresh breakfast. Despite the rain dampening our plans to explore the grounds and enjoy kayaking or canoeing, the property's natural beauty still shone through. Nestled away from the hustle and bustle, it provided a serene backdrop for our retreat, offering a sense of escape without sacrificing convenience to nearby shops. In summary, our experience at the property was largely positive, marred only by a few minor setbacks. With potential for further enhancement on rainy days experience activities and perhaps a more cooperative rooster, it remains a desirable destination for future gatherings.
