Fuerther Hotel Mercure Nuernberg West4.0 out of 5.0

Stayed in the Fuerther Hotel Mercure a couple of night during a road trip to Nuremberg and to the Playmobil FunPark (family with 2 small kids), and I most say it was a nice selection. The Hotel stay by the main Road 73, west to Nuremberg, just about a few Kilometers away from both Nuremberg and Zindorf (playmobil funpark), strategically positioned in a residential area. Across the street there is handy Vapiano Restaurant, but about 2km away there is the Hans-Vogel Street with plenty of restaurant also. The downtown Fuerth is also about 20 minutes walk. The Hotel has nice and well-maintained facilities: we stayed in a room in the main floor facing the inner patio. Although I read some comments in tripadvisor about it, we stayed very comfortably there because the window had a nice soundproof and weather insulation. Most important: there was a good double bed and an incredible good sofa bed that fit very well one adult and one child (good sleep quality indeed, as one always expect sofas-bed to be horrible). The Hotel has a pool (closed because winter) and a play room for children (that we did not use, but it can be seen it is quite children friendly: except the restaurant, since they don´t have kids menu. The restaurant is good and the breakfast is just excellent, continental (international) buffet style, with many fruits and healthy choices. The staff is nice and always pleased to communicate with you in english. There is also a parking lot that you pay a fixed fee to use (not daily fee). CONS: - Very, very few TV channels in english. And the remote control is blocked, so you can change configuration of the cable to put the movies in english (with no translation). - Restaurant is pricey for the overall quality of food. - Room size is rather small.
Staying in Nuremberg that's the closet 4 stasrs hotel with smoking rooms- it takes 7-10 minutes to the center of Nuremberg nice and helpfuul staff- good breakfast- but dinner I tried once not something- large parking lot and free Wi_Fi-
I stayed for 5 nights during Messe IWA. The hotel is nice, clean and quite. Breakfast is plentiful and staff are helpful and polite. I would defenitely recommend this for anyone attending an exhibition in Nuremberg. Traffic can be somewhat of a hassle but it's worth the saving in accommodation costs..
The hotel was nice and clean with a big breakfast buffet but some things should be adressed. The Heating was a big issue. You dont have control of the heating. With my phone out of my pocket for half an hour i measured the inside temp of the room at was at 24 C, way too hot to sleep in. I had to sleep with the window open hearing the traffic noise outside. We had to pay for parking 10 euros about a day for a week stay which i believe should have been free with the stay. Also the pillows were awful, i had to request two more cause the inside material was very little. Again the room was cleaned well and bathroom but as i said above it made the experience lukewarm.
Even with an Accor frequent stayer card, no bottled drinking water in room. Minibar is empty... A second disappointment was the parking rate: 11€/day is too much for a hotel located in that area. Bedding is good, room comfort and cleanness is standard.
Spent two nights here while on business in the area. Accessible location right by the highway, this made it easy to get around by car. Free parking onsite. Breakfast buffet was good with plentiful selection. For dinner we found the hotel to be very quiet, so we walked to Vapiano Italian place across the road. Room was comfy enough. would use this place. Checkout process was a bit slow although staff were friendly.
Decent hotel to stay in. Hotel is 20-25 minutes from Nuremberg Airport by taxi charges are 25 Euros approx. Public transport is also available to reach the hotel . Bus stops close by helps to travel to Rathhaus U Bhan station from where travelling to airport and other places are convenient.
This Hotel has been chosen by the traveling agency of my company.Facilities meet the standards by all means, however the service level provided by the staff is outstanding. I was enjoying the warmtth of the fire place while surfing on the net when a staff member offered me a drink. I would welcome a little more wider choice in the menu. For sure I would stay there again despite the distance of the Nuernberg Altstadt.
Stayed here for an overnight business trip. The staff were very welcoming and froendly. I speak no German but they all were fluent english speakers. The room was fab. Had a Privilege Room. Bath and batbrobe. Very clean and well appointed. I ate in the restaurant but they 'forgot' my starter and served my main after nearly an hour. Maybe a woman on her own is forgettable. Shame because they would have got 5 stars otherwise. Bizarre that evening on two separate occasions crockery and glasses went crashing to the floor. Maybe they were understaffed or tired.
The hotel was clean and properly serviced. The staff were friendly and helpful. The only gripe that we had was the very limited menu in the restaurant. Our one-night stay was on Sunday evening, which was probably the reason that the menu choice was extremely poor. The choice was Salads (various), Spaghetti Bolognaise or Burger. I would expect to be offered a proper menu on any night in any hotel.
