Under the arcades of Fourcès - Lovely medieval house

A unique opportunity to stay in the heart of the small medieval village of Fourcès in a typical house recently renovated, under the arcades of one of the most beautiful villages in France. An ideal base for 4 people to discover the riches of the Gers and visit the Bastide de Montréal, Larressingle, La Romieu... And an ideal location to experience the life of the real Gers villages!

You will stay in a charming medieval house located under the arcades of the central square of the famous village of Fourcès. A rare opportunity to discover the real life of the Gers villages and that of the only round bastide of the department, classified as one of the most beautiful villages of France, and known for its flower market in April and its numerous book markets and flea markets during the summer.

The two-storey house, in the heart of the "cité", probably dates back to 1650. Loaded with history, we renovated it a few years ago, preserving the stone walls, the parquet floors and the half-timbering typical of Gascon houses. And we have provided it with all the modern comforts you would expect from a holiday home.

The ground floor has been transformed into a large central living area with kitchen, lounge and dining room. The kitchen and the sanitary facilities (a bathroom on the first floor with toilet + a toilet on the ground floor) have been completely redone. A wood-burning stove now sits in the living room with a view under the village arcades and the 2 bedrooms upstairs have been redesigned and furnished with care so that you will want for nothing.

The kitchen is now completely open to the living room and is equipped with all modern standards.

The living room on the ground floor has a TV with the Orange TV channel package. The wifi network is very comfortable.

For your meals, the dining area in the ground floor living room can accommodate 4 people indoors. And outside, in the shade of the arcades, you can have lunch, dinner or an aperitif on the garden furniture available while watching the local pétanque players play their game.

The semi-detached house stays very cool in summer and fans are available if needed. In winter it is very easy to heat with the electric heater and the wood burner in the living room (wood included).

Available all year round for rental for stays of 2 nights minimum. We look forward to seeing you!
