Filthy and No follow through.
We arrived to find the place was not cleaned. We found hairs in both of the showers, dishes were dirty in the cupboards, silverware and drawer were filthy, the fridge/freezer were dirty with some sort of sticky substance, and the floors were filthy. We asked to go into the rental early and got no response. We spent the first 2 hours of our stay cleaning the unit because we also had someone with food allergies. Not how I wanted to spend my daughter’s Graduation trip. I was told that I would get my cleaning fee back and some sort of financial compensation, which did not happen. We were given a free dolphin cruise, which was nice, but we got scammed for over 100 in tips. We Love staying at Emerald Island for the last 4 years and have made friends with some of the owners but this was the most disappointing experience I have ever had. I will be looking to stay at a different unit next time.
