I arrived prior to check in and headed down to the beach with my guest along with a young lady who was waiting on friends. As soon as we sat in the loungers, we were accosted even though we all had Wyndham wristbands. A very rude man, with his face half-covered, by the name of Blaze, immediately demanded our room numbers. I explained my guest & I had not checked in (our new friend just flashed her wristband & ignored him) and pointed out that we did not know who he was & how did he decide to question us. He didn't identify himself & how dare he ask young ladies for their room numbers? He said he questioned everyone but he was nowhere in sight when we first approached the loungers. We then observed him retreat & he did not approach or question A SINGLE person who came down after us. WE WERE PAYING CUSTOMERS!! We had a right to be there just like everyone else! I reserved my costly room at least a week in advance. He single-handedly ruined my first visit to not only the hotel, but to Fort Walton Beach on July Fourth. The room was on the 6th floor with a view that could have been obtained with a less costly partial view room. The room had a musty smell and the carpet was moist. The bed was uncomfortable and lumpy with flat pillows. We stayed two nights. The first night it took housekeeping until 5 pm the next day to clean the room. However on the morning of check out, she banged on the door TWICE starting at 9a.m. Horrible experience! Spend your money elsewhere.

We appreciated that an umbrella and chairs were included with the room. Unfortunately tropical storm Cindy forced us to only stay one night. We look forward to returning to this hotel.l

Staff was friendly and helpful. It was extremely close to beach. Not overly nice.

Solid visit with extremely comfortable bed. Had a great view of ocean. My wife and kids had a blast. Room did feel a bit cramped but overall solid hotel.

I expected a room with a view of the ocean,I got a view of the pool equipment. The room was not cleaned the entire stay.on the hand breakfast was good, staff very friendly

Beautiful ocean views, friendly staff, clean rooms, nice pools, and I loved the extra stuff that comes with staying there such as the free movie rentals, bikes to use, beach chairs, and gym.

Staff told us we got such a crummy room due to booking on line thru a 3rd party. Room was ground floor next to a room being used by staff for storage. Staff slammed the door all day and night which rattled our room. Water ran non stop in tub. Other rooms and location might have been better. For such a high price, we expected more. Loved beach, pool, beach chairs, free videos, mini kitchen, nice bed. Disliked high price for room and breakfast, dripping faucet, and noisy location.

Good location, 10 minute drive to Destin, great view of the beach and pool. Horrible staff! I sat there and watched how the receptionist picked and chose who she allowed to check in "early". Also don't sit around and wait in the lobby because you will be asked to walk outside and "check the other amenities" in 50 degree weather.

Thrilled with room and view. Staff was attentive and friendly. This is a great property for the money.

We stopped by the hotel at 3:00 to check in. We were told to return at 4:00 for the guarantee check in time. Several customers were sent away grumbling. Once we got into our room, it was clean and had a great view.

This hotel is in a nice location, but the room was sparse and uncomfortable. We had a room with double beds and a small kitchen. The mattresses were uncomfortable and one bed was against the wall. We had no control of the HVAC. The thermostat was 72 regardless of room temperature. We had to turn on the oven to heat room one morning. Then on the warmest day th heat cut on without us touching the controls. The sofa was a sleeper and was one of the most uncomfortable sofas we have ever sit on. The staff was great and the facility was clean, but I would not stay here again.

Arrived early to be told to come back at check in time. Then to be received by a long line a 30 minute check in with 1 clerk checking customers in. Cleaning team went in room while do not disturb sign on door. Got caught when I arrived back to room and she was outside door with my door open.

With all the hotels in the Destin/Ft. Walton beach area one would think this place would be better kept. Ratty carpets, heat/ace unit continual malfunction. Seems apparent this hotel is accustomed to catering to the spring break crowd. At least have decent coffee........ just saying

Reasonable hotel in excellent location. Rooms are clean however there was an issue with the hot water. Internet fast. Moreover this hotel is located conveniently in front of the beach and has an excellent pool and bar/restaurant downstairs

we really enjoyed our stay here. our room got upgraded at no extra cost and we had a beautiful view of the gulf and a suite. we loved being right on the beach; it was nice to not have to haul our beach gear far. will definitely be back!!!

Everything exceeded our expectations! I also got sick on the last day and had to be taken to the hospital. The staff was great!

This was a nice resort and had great amenities for the price. Upon arrival to our room it was very warm and humid inside. We turned the ac down and were gone for the evening. When we got back to the room it was still warm and very humid. I turned it down to 60 degrees and went to bed. We all woke up in the middle of the night sweating. I let the front desk know early in the morning, and they said maintenance would be there shortly. 3 hours later still no maintenance. Went to the front desk and they said oh I'll call maintenance. No apology, and again 2 hours later no maintenance. We left earlier than we planned and the problem was never fixed. I tried to get in touch with the manager, and as I expected, no response. When you spend 200 dollars a night at a hotel I don't think it should be this difficult to make the customer happy and treat them with respect. It's a shame I will not be going back here, and would not recommend it to others.

It was an overall awful experience. My fiancé and I went to Fort Walton Beach to look for wedding venues, we choice this one. No hot water, the fridge didn't work, and the beds were rock solid. When we first got there, the floor they put us on didn't have lights. When we left, the staff didn't even ask how our stay was. So who knows if they know about the hot water and fridge.

I have been to this Wyndham Hotel on two other occasions and love it. This time it was the worst stay. We changed rooms four times. When we got there, they gave us the wrong room. I wanted the two bed suite. I complained and finally they moved us to the seventh floor. Then we told them about our groceries that we're going to spoil in the room that we had. Finally, they moved us to the D building to a suite. The room had not been cleaned well. That night, we saw bugs everywhere. The lady over maintenance came down and took a picture of all of these running bugs.she told the office and we had to move back to the A building which was not a suite. We got so frustrated that we left two days earlier than we has scheduled. I called your office also.i told them that my trip had been paid since the first of September. One of the clerk told us, we should have made reservations ourself. If we had, they would do a free stay for all of the problems we had. I had to keep calling you office to see what could be done. First the agent told us it was an I refundable trip. After I told her about the problems and bugs, she decided we could leave and be refunded for the two days that we would not be using. I was very disappointed to have driven from Nashville, Tn. To Destin and had all of these problem. I even told them that we were senior citizen.

Very nice hotel right on the beach! Guests get complimentary 2 beach chairs and 1 umbrella and bike rental. Though we didn't have time for the bikes. Beds were comfortable with plenty of pillows. The only complaint I have here was the shower curtain wouldn't stay closed so water would get on the floor.
