Cheapest place to get if you want to go to Destin, Miramar, Okaloosa. Customer service was ok, elevator looked little dirty, hallways looked clean. Room itself just average, small, bed was terrible, if you could call that a bed. We booked for two nights, but stayed just one night, and drove to our final destination, Jacksonville. But I don't think I would have stayed another night either, unless it was my only option.
Wanted to save money on a family vacation. Well, don't do it here unless you just want to sleep and go. No pool, no ice machine, no after hour service (very hard to get a hold of), no maid service, no pots or pans, utensils, dishware, in "kitchenette". They tell you full side bed... It's a twin. Very rude manager (Duane), seems like we are always putting them out or trying to get by. It is almost in bad part of town...getting there, but they make it difficult to get in hotel (must use card). That is probably the only positive thing I can say. Says housekeeping.. Nope. Like I said, if u are wanting to save $$$ and just come here to sleep, wake up n go. Boooom... Here it is. Not recommended for kids unless you want to entertain your whole vacation.
On 29th April 2019, the new Manager John, called my room 433, about 12 noon, and said that I was late paying for my room, That he was charging me a late fee and that I had internet charges. All that I needed to pay today. I told him that I had paid the last manager in full for the entire stay, and checking out on Wed. 1st May 2019. That I had not made any internet chargers during my stay of so far 60 days. John said that the rates had increased and that he was within his rights to charge me more than the total charges on my initial 62 day reservations. I told him that was not right. That would check out today, 29th April. After, I placed all of my belongings into my car. I returned the key cards to the lady in the Office. I told John, if you treat your guest this way, they are not going to stay here anymore. I told John that I had paid the other Manager in fill for 62 days. Now that I am leaving two days before the 62 days, you owe me for two days. He said that I did not owe Woodspring Suites any money. John said that I needed to leave the property now or he would have the Police remove me. I will never stay at a Woodspring Suites ever again. Never more. I feel that John needs to find another form of employment! I will tell as many people as I can about my horrible experience with the new Manager, John. I feel like I have been robbed and lied too by Woodsprings Suites. Keith O. Evans 119 AM 20th April 2019.
So this was not at all what I expected. Our room was clean and had a bed but nothing else that I would expect with a hotel room. There is a kitchenette but nothing to use in it. No pans, No dishes, nothing. There is a bathroom with towels but no soap, no shampoo, no tissues. I hope you like your neighbors on all sides as you hear everything. The people above us were sliding furniture or something around the room until about midnight made it hard to go to sleep. Then we were awake at 6 from the fire alarm going off.. Never did find out why it went off. No desk attendant when we came in for the evening or when we went out in the morning. It was strange and not very welcoming. Funk smell in the elevator. I would not stay hear again.
Very clean and comfortable stay!!! Tim is so nice and always working so hard to make sure your stay is amazing. He went the extra mile and always had a smile on!! Can’t wait to get back to the beach for such an amazing stay!!! This will ALWAYS be my go to spot, thanks for the great family vacation!
We got into town a day early for a family trip. We found this place online with great prices. I called to check on availability. They had a room with a full bed and a kitchenette for less than $100 on a Friday night! Leigh was very helpful on the phone and when we arrived, Tim Travis at the front desk was exceptional. We would definitely stay here again!
This hotel is pet friendly therefore, it was full of guests with their animals. If you are allergic to pets, don't stay here, every floor had a guest with a pet. The manager was really nice and accommodating. The location is ideal as there is a Publix grocery store across the street as well as a CVS and restaurants close by. If you just need a cheap place to stay for a few nights, then give it a try.
I would never recommend staying at this hotel. I arrived a little after 10pm and there was no one available even after using the lobby phone to call to get in. The manger refuses to give me a refund. He claims there is someone on-site but I couldn't get a hold of anyone. I also did not feel like it was a safe environment. Bad Business.
The place was very clean, and Tim at the front desk was more than pleasant. It's not a place with any frills, but for the price, it was more than adequate. I paid $254 for two nights. The rest of our party stayed at a hotel in Destin for more than twice the price and were not pleased at all with what they got. The hotel is only about 15 minutes from the beach. I would definitely stay here again.
Front desk, Tim, was quite helpful. Always a friendly smile and made it a point to remember your name. Facility was clean, mostly quiet -- no better or worse than any other hotel -- price was reasonable for an extended stay, air conditioner worked well and was not noisy, no bugs of any sort found. Refrigerator, small microwave, kitchen sink, and two burner stove included. You are expected to keep your own room clean, empty your trash. Regular wifi is free -- seemed to meet my needs, although DHCP always timed out in 24-hours so had to reconnect. Wasn't too hard. (EDIT: While I was trying to post this favorable review, DHCP did exactly that--timed out, so service rating will be degraded from 5 to 4 because of that. I lost 10 minutes worth of work.) You will need to use the hotel DNS to connect. Week-long stays are about $600.00 The one time I did have a problem with noise at night, was attended to by the staff in a timely manner. I would stay again.
