After booking this thru Orbitz and requesting a one bedroom suite in the new section, we were set up instead with the family suite in the old section because they were 'sold out'. It was a large space, up a double flight of stairs, old run down, but clean. 4 out of 5 sockets did not work and the phone did not work. There were bulbs out and/or missing in the bathroom. It was late so we stayed and I slept in a bunk bed. The next day I called Orbitz and asked if we could move. Your folks made all the calls and made that happen and we should be getting a refund for the days we didn't stay. I called and set up another property I'd visited before - The Outrigger - they had a room and it was ready and we got it immediately. I must say that the agents at Orbitz - both of them - were terrific. They stayed on the phone with me until everything was set... They were patient and focused, cooperative and wonderful. You have a customer for life here.....Many thanks
There are several steps up to the office to drag your suitcase, and then about a block to my room to carry everything. The room was furnished terribly, tile floors, everything.was worn. But the location is convenient to shops, restaurants, and the beach.
Very fun place to stay and right by the beach. Walked to everything. Restaurant is great and very good prices. Food is very good.
We have stayed many times over the years. Great location and a bar and restaurant right on property.
Bathroom fan, air conditioner, etc was broken and they wouldn't give me a different room or discount.
We stayed in junior suit, 3 adults and 2 kids! It was great, huge room, huge bathroom. Quiet! We put kids to sleep at 8pm with no problem. Super funny please - tiki bar! Parking is ok. Super close to the beach and walking area! Good price.
Nice place, good food, nice people, clean. They need more parking.
Had a very relaxing visit. hotel was clean and accomodations were very satisfying. Dog friendly but charged too much for stay.
Very nice enjoyed the whole experience very friendly
Lighthouse is beautiful, clise to everything. The staff very nice, the place and facilities are super cute. I love my room very old school and relax.
wonderful room - very spacious and accommodating and close to lots of food, shopping and beach - Loved it
Beat up, tired hotel with wood rot. Bed is very comfortable.
The room wasn't huge but it was very nice and the kitchen was handy. Every day housekeeping cleaned really well. The hotel is so cute and everyone was very friendly. We spent as much time in the pool there as we did at the beach. The tiki bar has great food and amazing bucket drinks. Not even a block from the beach. Can't wait to go back!!!
Nice place but trash collection at 630 to early and noisy. ... also they need a facility manager to facilitate repairs to there benefit....
We have stayed here three times in the last six months. Love the short walk to the beach. Two room suites are perfect for a family visit or friends. Priced very reasonable. We'll go back for sure.
Had a great stay at the Lighthouse Inn. When we checked in, we found they had upgraded our room. Room had one bedroom, with a full kitchen and queen sized bed in the living room. The room was older, but clean. For the price we paid, it was a great value. The inn is located across the street from the beach/pier and shopping/restaurant area, so there were lots of restaurant options within just a couple blocks.
I like this hotel because of the location, the Tiki bar is super fun, although the bartenders (the older women) were pretty crabby. The room was sub standard. You should really have room darkening shades or curtain, especially when there is a light hanging right outside the door. The pillow are atrocious and the bed is horrible. The sink in the bathroom did not have hot water, so in order to get hot water we had to run the shower. The fan in the bathroom was falling out of the ceiling and we were afraid it was going to fall on our heads, plus it didn't work it made a loud grumbling sound was all. The bar is fun and the location is wonderful, so that is why we stayed there. It would help if you upgraded the rooms though. The kitchenette is a nice plus. I would recommend because of the location, but give friends a heads up that the rooms are ghetto.
Great vacation in Ft Myers Beach and Sanibel Island. Didn't know we were there in Pirates Weekend so that was an added bonus. Great fun! Great stay! Great weather!
Had a great time at the hotel, spent with friends celebrating a 50 year old birthday party. Tiki Bar great, staff great, parking a little tough, recent paint in our room still had a few spills on floor but really who cares, second bed's mattress had a sunken in spot in middle. Overall a great value for the money.
The hotel was nice, but if you are looking for a relaxing getaway - this is NOT it. However, if you are looking to recapture your glory days you've found the right spot. The staff was nice and the accommodations were a great value. The room was comfy/clean. The food at the Tiki bar was ok, but there are tons of local restaurants. There is major road construction around the hotel and no parking (had to park at liquor store).
