Wish we would have booked more days here. Probably the best place to stay on the island

This property is close to the beach and several restaurants and shops. They offer bikes at no additional cost and even provide you with a map of the island . The inkeep was very friendly and knowledgeable . We will be back !!!

Quiet cottages with all the amenities - bikes and beach necessities - cart, umbrella, chairs and even thick beach towels. Private deck with table and chairs. Café across street serves delicious meals including fresh fish and small deli and ice cream parlor close by.

We enjoyed our stay and especially appreciated being on the east end of the island--less travel on the busy main road, Periwinkle Way. Both the manager and the owners responded quickly to our requests for information and for a small needed repair. The amenities--outdoors seating, beach chairs and umbrellas were great. Closeness to a public beach was a big plus.

We loved that our hotel supplied beach chairs, beach umbrellas and bikes. It was such an added convenience for us. The manager had a cancellation as we were moving in and asked if we wanted an upgrade from just a room to a room with a living room and kitchen which made our stay so much more enjoyable. You can help yourself to towels or coffee whenever you like. We also enjoyed the courtyard in the back to drink wine a night. We would love to return to Tarpon Tale sometime in the future.

Nice quiet beach area room with separate entrance and parking. Near a popular family restaurant, beach either bay side or gulf. Shelling was great. Offers free chairs, bikes, towels etc. for the beach. we needed a place for a night and this was excellent, good value, and convenient.

Tarpon Tale Inn was a very clean, quaint place to stay. The grounds were peaceful and inviting and all the amenities made my stay that more wonderful. Definitely recommend Tarpon Tale Inn if you are staying at Sanibel Island!!

If you're looking for a cookie-cutter, impersonal, corporate place to stay, look somewhere else. But if you want a family run, friendly, comfortable inn at a great value, The Tarpon Tale Inn is it! Lovely, clean rooms, each with it own outdoor dining area. A 5 minute walk to the beach. Free use of bicycles, office computer, beach supplies, towels, etc. Very helpful management. We only had two nights so they arranged for an earlier arrival time to extend our stay a few hours, which was great! A great place to put up your feet and just relax after enjoying beautiful Sanibel. We had a wonderful time and wish we could have stayed longer. Wish every place on the islands was as low key and unobtrusive. If we're ever back in the area you can bet we will be staying here again!

That's great advice! We have all the near by amenities one should need when immersing in "Island Life". Breakfast, ice cream and deli across the street. We are four streets to the marina for boat ride adventures or dinner at the water side restaurant. Gulf of Mexico beaches , San Carlols Bay beaches and fishing pier. I am sorry you did not find the guest "extra" supplies in the laundry room; next time. :-)
