This place is potential but just couldn’t live up to that. The location is good, rooms are a decent size. But I’d describe as not well kept

The location is great. Staff is always responsive. It's a comfortable stay but needs to be updated.

Second time staying at this location. Super easy to get to, and centrally located to everything.

The pool was great and its right on the beach!! Would definitely stay here again!

wonderful service. clean accommodations. Thank you.

The best thing about this property was - it was next to the beach. So you don't have to go to "public access" beaches and pay $5/hour parking. We booked this hotel because it was right on the beach and had breakfast available. But it is the "breakfast in a basket". So that was a disappointment. Stay was alright and any complaints were responded to, pretty fast. We had 2 queen beds. One of the bed was kind of broken and if you sleep on it you end up in the middle. The mattress was so saggy. But the kids felt it was some fun and used that bed. Besides that the hotel had free bikes and kayaks to rent. They had no restrictions on beach towel changes, since we went off season. It was a good stay overall, with only slight disappointment about one bad mattress bed and the "breakfast in a basket".

Loved it was so close to the beach. Nice shelling beach. Pool was great and getting to see a sunset every night. Room could have been cleaned better. Nice to have a breakfast basket everyday.

The positives : so so close to the Gulf water ! Bikes to use as part of your resort fee, but they aren't in the best condition. You have a full size refrigerator, stove, and oven, microwave and coffee maker. The negatives - being awoken after a wedding for a 8am housekeeping knock - just too early.

James- the front desk attendant was AWESOME!! 10/10 in service, curtesy, helpfulness!!

We had a few issues upon arrival but James and his staff were wonderful and got everything resolved. Room was close to beach!!!! Breakfast basket was good. Staff was wonderful, all of them. Room needed a bit of updating. If we come back, we would stay there again!!

Would recommend with some need to know. Place is pet friendly so room smelled

Even though I read the reviews I disregarded the few that mentioned musty smelling rooms. Big mistake. Our room, while very clean, smelled so bad of mold we both immediatly had to leave the room. When we complained to Dave the manager about the odor, he said he was unaware of anyone else complaining (even tho there were quite a few that left reviews mentioning it) and he said we had to realize that the building was from the 1960's. We said we could not accept the room, and he said there were no others available. We insisted and he found another room for us with just a slight moldy odor. We DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL because you are not sure to have a room without a musty smell.

Nice view of the gulf! Great sunset view for evening and sunrise in am. Nice pool, plus beach chairs, kayaks. Basket of breakfast food every morning. Very clean. Friendly and helpful staff. I would stay again. Right around the corner From Ding Darling Wildlife Drive. Half way to Captiva. Location, location, location!

Friendly staff, nice daily breakfast basket. Bikes to use on site

This is a somewhat old hotel, not updated for a while. But the staff is good, location is amazing. It was cold when we were there, so lack of hot tub was disappointing.

The daily continental breakfast baskets delivered to the room is a very nice touch. Clean, comfortable beds, good water pressure. I would stay again.

This is a great hotel conveniently located on the beach. It has a nice pool as well! My stay was quiet and comfortable, just what I was looking for. My room had a full kitchen which was unexpected, but convenient for breakfast and lunch. There was a nice choice of restaurants that were close by, although a rental car is a MUST.

Very very nice hotel. We are planning to come back to stay this hotel next year. The room is very clean, the facility is clean and very quiet. We enjoyed ourselves very much. What a gem! Plenty of amenities, huge clean pool with nice chairs and umbrella. The Gorgeous beach with chairs and umbrella. The kayaks and bikes are available. Vey very nice stayed we experience.

Great staff, great parking, and super close to the beach. All the bikes, kayak, and paddle boards are included. Breakfast included was great. Bring bug spray since this is an island there were lots of bugs on the beaches. But the hotel is great.
