855 Oak Street is a three-bedroom, four bonus space, two-bath, three level private canal-front home located in a quiet residential area on San Carlos Island near the north end of Fort Myers Beach. It's a great location, a 10-15 minute walk or bike ride to all the action of Times Square. Charter boats, jet-ski rentals, and parasailing are within walking distance. Explore a wide variety of retail shops, local tourism sites and restaurants that the area has to offer, including the new Margaritaville Resort. Take a day trip on the Key West Ferry. A trolley runs regularly between Fort Myers Beach and Bonita Springs. This home has a washer and dryer for your convenience. Amenities include central air conditioning, ceiling fans throughout, complimentary WiFi, and all towels and linens are provided.
On arrival there is ample off-street parking and garages. Enter via stairs up to the second level then through the front door into the open plan dining, living and kitchen areas. There is beautiful wood tile flooring throughout and décor is beachy/nautical. The large eat-in kitchen is a chef's delight, equipped with all the necessary items to whip up full course meals or just toast and coffee in the morning. Just bring the food! It has a stainless-steel sink with disposal. There are plenty of cabinets and quartz countertop space. Appliances are all stainless-steel and include a side-by-side refrigerator/freezer with ice and water dispenser in the freezer door, dishwasher, glasstop range with self-cleaning and convection oven, built-in above-range microwave and a Keurig coffee maker. The kitchen has a large dining island which seats nine. This flows into the adjacent living area furnished with a queen-size sleeper sofa, two upholstered side chairs with cocktail table and coffee table on an area rug. There is also a credenza with a large wall-mounted flat screen TV. Sliding glass doors from the living area provide access to a screened in furnished balcony overlooking the canal and boat dock. Furnishings include a table with two high-boy chairs, two cushioned sofas and a coffee table. There are also stairs leading down to the pavered patio area below. Take a dip in our inviting heated pool and unwind in the relaxing spa combo, perfect for any time of year. The living area and kitchen ceilings go up to the second floor, and there is a mezzanine around the entire area. Adjacent to the kitchen is a laundry room and an extra refrigerator/freezer.
The master bedroom is upstairs and has a king-size bed, night stands and lamps, a tall dresser with mirror and wall-mounted flat screen TV. There is a huge walk-in closet. The en suite bathroom has a quartz vanity with lavatory and storage space beneath, wall mirror, commode and a nicely tiled walk-in shower with glass door. Downstairs the first guest bedroom has a queen-size bed, night stands, ample closet space and double dresser with wall mirror. The second guest bedroom has a queen-size bed, night stands, ample closet space, a 5-drawer chest and a wall-mounted flat screen TV. The guest bathroom has a quartz-top vanity with lavatory and storage space beneath, commode, and a nicely tiled combination tub/shower.

Beautiful House
We had a wonderful stay at this property! The house is very large and was great for our family. The suite at thumbtacks the pool was nicely done. The pool was nice and clean and communication was fantastic. We were told in advance that there was construction in the area and honestly didn’t bother us and the price for the week made up for it. The views from the pool are not the best but we got over it. Location is great to the beach and plenty of great restaurants. Thanks for the great stay, we will be back.

Had a great stay at this property. The inside of the house was in excellent condition & as advertised in the pictures. The outside had a few minor issues. Electrical outlets & hose did not work on the dock. The pool area was somewhat unfinished. The house had plenty of parking for several vehicles & our boat trailer. The dock was in great condition & served us very well. There is a lot of construction going on in the neighborhood. It appears this was one of the few houses to survive the hurricane. This didn't bother me because we were on the boat all day. If you were wanting to hang out by the pool, I could see where this might be a little annoying. The location is great. Several restaurants & bars in walking distance. It was a 5 min uber ride to the island where there many more restaurants and bars. Overall it was a great experience. I would go back again.

Nice property with some unaddressed flaws
We stayed at the property for a family vacation in February. While the home is beautiful overall, we did have a few issues. The screened in porch was a feature we were really excited to use in the evenings after the children went to bed, however the lights did not work. We reached out to Coastal Vacation Properties to help. They said they were responsive via text and said they would send someone to figure it out, but never did and we never heard from them again. That was disappointing. There were also a few other damages on the exterior of the home that didn't appear in the listing's pictures - like the fans on the second story porch were removed and wires were sticking out - looked like they were rusted and removed after hurricane damage but nothing new was added back. Lastly, we tried to do one load of laundry and the dryer NEVER dried the clothes. We resorted to hang drying all of the clothes on the upstairs railing. All that being said, the rooms were comfortable and the interior of the home was clean. We just wish the property manager/company would have been more responsive to remedy the issues we did have.
