We arrived past our check-in time, so it was a bit dark. Upon arrival the exterior reminded me of a downtown New York. In front and on the side of the building there were homeless people. It’s not a sight you want to encounter when you are escaping the everyday life, but inside and during the day you can feel like you’re on vacation. Across the street there’s an ice cream/cookie shop and they’re open til late, which was very convenient. There are also other places within walking distance to eat with a pretty nice chilled nightlife. We grabbed our chairs and just sat by the ocean. if you’re looking for a relaxing evening this would be a free option. Aside from the exterior and first impression at night everything else was convenient.
Inside we found ourselves with a very comfortable living space for the three of us. Unfortunately, for us one of the sinks looked like someone had shaved their facial hair and it wasn’t cleaned, as well as, I found a wet beach towel behind the bathroom door as if it was forgotten and just used. We don’t have pets, so I understand that the property is pet friendly and you will find such evidence like stained couch and pet hairs here and there. Had it not been for the hair in the sink and used towel hanging I would have given it a perfect score on cleanliness. I never addressed the issues with the host in their defense as it was practically a short stay. Our purpose was to come and see the parade.
The host is very responsive, so no issues there.
