Basic hotel with nice thermal pools.

We came to the hotel mainly because of the thermal pools (Which was the only one in Ischia in this season- November). The pools were great. However, the room was outdated, the bed and pillows were terrible, the shower is looking like 30 years old. Breakfast and dinner were basic. The coffee is from automatic machines and not tasty.

Enjoyed our stay at Sorriso, staff were very friendly and helpful. Pool area is lovely. We stayed in the annex building and found the room to be a little outdated, however, this seems to be relatively common for Ischia. Would recommend to others looking for a reasonably priced place to stay in Forio.

The resort is located on a hill overlooking Forio (on Iskea island). The view is amazing and the 3 thermal pools are great. Staff was friendly and resort was very clean. However, some of the front office staff were somewhat disorganized. Our bill wasn't ready when we were checking out and the hairdryer in the unit wasn't working and they were not able to replace it. Internet also was poor - which was an issue for me to be on several video calls. Overall, very nice place - but some operational issues (not sure if corona related) that needs to be ironed out.

Our family of four had such a nice, relaxing time at this resort. The room was comfortable and well-appointed, with two twin beds and one king size bed. The resort facilities were neatly kept and designed to maximize the stunning views of the sea and sunset. There were a few quaint little shops and restaurants to explore within walking distance. The weather was cool, so it was the perfect time of year to enjoy the heated outdoor pools. This was our kids' favorite stop on our Amalfi Coast tour, and we would definitely go back.

3 star hotel with 2 star service & 4 star prices

We paid for a double comfort room. We were shown a room in a separate annex which had black mold on the ceiling. We were then shown another 4 rooms which were as equally as bad (most of the rooms were tired and smelt). We spent the first night in 1 of these rooms with an appalling smell and a rock hard bed. On the second day we were moved to another room which looked like if had been updated in the last few years (still with hard beds) but it resembled a room from a 3 star hotel rather than a 4 star hotel. The manager and reception staff were rude to us and were not accommodating. There are also extras for robes and towels which I wouldn’t expect from a 4 star spa hotel. On the last day when it came to checking out, the reception staff ignored us and served the Italians until they had to serve us. I find their behavior unacceptable. We felt very unwelcome at the hotel.

If you are after Quality beauty and health treatments- Sorriso is THE place. Wonderful facials, outstanding massages, and absolutely top professional no-mercy physio. I needed post-shoulder-operation recovery, and Sorriso spa intensive treatments worked miracles. Combined with mineral water swimming pools at the hotel and nearby Poseidon Park (fantastic..!) even a 9 day stay produced outstanding results. I didn’t care about little inconveniences like room size etc; the hotel is clean, lots of flowers, beautiful views- good value for money. Therefore I give Sorriso top score - with gratitude! Would definitely come again.

Nice resort hotel with beautiful sea views.

It is a bit of a journey car, plane, car, ferry and car again but once arrived it is certainly worth the while. The hotel resort is set into the hills at various levels. Breakfast is taken alfresco with breathtaking views of the sea and landscape. It has a private walkway to Citara beach but this is a mixture of steps so not accessible if you need assistance walking/in a wheelchair but the hotel does offer a shuttle to/from the beach. The pool facilities were very clean, the service was very good and the staff were very accommodating/helpful. Our room was spacious and had a balcony with beautiful sea views and watching the sunset was amazing. We tried a seafood restaurant on Citara beach, the setting was perfect and got a taxi into Fario port two nights (15 euros each way) to try out local restaurants there as well as walking around the town shopping late evening, it has a lovely atmosphere. Negombo and Poseidon Thermal Parks are also certainly worth a visit ... Poseidon can be reached via the walkway from Sorriso Resort Hotel. We arranged a private guided tour of the island in a Tuk Tuk which meant we got to tour around the whole of the island which was well worth doing. Ischia is a beautiful island and certainly well worth a visit ... we shall certainly be returning.

The hotel location was great. The pools were fantastic. HOWEVER if you are staying over the weekend DO NOT stay in the sea view rooms that are located under the Oasis resturuant. On Friday night a private wedding rented out the place and blasted music till 4am and then the resturuant itself has a regular band on Saturday until 2am. The Oasis is apparently owned by someone else but blends into the property and the rooms sit directly underneath. This baffled me as there was actually a sign that said "Quite Zone" but the music, regardless of private events, happens every weekend till the wee hours of the morning... oh, and the beds... bring some added padding as you can literally feel the springs in your back. Otherwise, great place.

Spectacular view, great location

The location is ideal: walking distance to the beach and Poseidon, and on the main bus line. The sea view from our rooms was spectacular, especially at sunset. Breakfast had a wide variety of choices. Take advantage of the pools and spa! The staff was excellent, especially Pasquale at the front desk. The two problems we encountered were: 1) parking is a challenge. 2) The air conditioning in our friends' room wasn't working. Every day, they were told it would be fixed. Finally, on the 4th day of our 5 days there, it was fixed. The hotel should have offered them a different room or fixed it the first day.

Not 4 stars.

Service was great. Every staff member went out of their way to help accommodate us. But, the hotel facility did not meet 4 star standards. The air conditioning and wifi were not working well, they charged for a towel at the pool everyday. They gave us a hard time when we asked for ice cubes. No room service.

Nice hotel close to the beach

I was disapointed for the location of the room, i had asled 2 beds they gave 1 which they fixed, the telephone was not working, there was moldnon wall, I asked for a wake up call for 6:30am, they called at 7.not enough communication and information. But the staff was very nice as well as the chauffers who took us to Poséidon and to the port (very courtous) the manager also
