Casa Juçara 🌴

Built by us by hand, board by board, Casa Juçara was created to live in harmony with the surrounding Atlantic Forest. Reclaimed and sustainably sourced wood, large windows opening onto the forest, water from a natural mountain spring, and ecological solutions such as biodigesters are all part of the house and the experience.

The glass house accommodates up to 4 guests and is ideal for couples and families with children. It offers plenty of comfort and privacy. Open the windows and you’ll find the green of the forest, the calls of toucans and the gentle sound of the stream.

Inside the house

Main bedroom: loft with a queen-size bed, high-quality mattress and a quiet workspace. Cotton bed linen, bath towels and an iron are provided.

Open-plan kitchen and living/dining area: fully equipped kitchen with gas oven, air fryer and espresso machine with coffee grinder. A traditional Brazilian clay water filter keeps drinking water naturally cool. The living area has a comfortable double sofa bed (futon), with a folding screen available to separate the spaces.

Bathroom: a blend of old and contemporary elements, with a vintage vanity, modern ceramics, high-quality electric shower and hairdryer.

Comfort: all rooms have hot-and-cold air conditioning.

Outdoor areas

The veranda has a dining table and hammock, surrounded by the forest and overlooking the stream.

The barbecue area, hammocks, beach chairs and parasol are available for guests.

The fire pit is shared with the other house on the property and can be used until 10pm.

A washing machine and a punching bag with boxing gloves are also available for guests who want to exercise outdoors.

The grounds are surrounded by juçara palms — the Atlantic Forest's native açaí — as well as an orchard and vegetable garden. Depending on the season, guests may pick fruit, herbs, spices and native leaves, always with care and respect for the space.

Life in the forest

The forest is part of the experience. With a little patience and a keen eye, you may spot toucans, marmosets, agoutis, tegus, azure jays, guans, woodpeckers, frogs and many other species that live on the property.

The house was designed for those who want to slow down, breathe and be close to nature, without giving up the comfort of a well-equipped and welcoming home.

Parking: one private parking space inside the property for Casa Juçara guests.

Casa Juçara is set in the most private area of our 2,200 m² property, surrounded by nature. Access is via a short walk through the garden from the parking area.

The property includes two houses: Casa Juçara (this listing) and Casa Tucano (listed separately). They are well separated by native gardens, ensuring privacy. Guests may be the only ones on the property, or the other house may be occupied.

Both houses can also be booked together for exclusive use. The shared areas are the campfire space and the parking area.

Casa Juçara has one exclusive parking space inside the property. Additional parking is usually available on a quiet public road about 20 m away.

Access is through the main gate with remote control, with a pedestrian entrance next to the gate. From the parking area, a 50 m walk along a well-marked, well-lit path leads to Casa Juçara, tucked into the forest.
