The villa is convenient located at 10 minutes car ride from the downtown Florence, so it's peaceful and you can enjoy a peaceful afternoon here. The ride with a cab will cost you about 16-22 euros. Every piece of this location was carefully projected and decorated: full of old restored furniture, high ceilings, large candelabra and original 18 century and on paintings and ceramics. The rooms are large, very comfortable, with air-conditioning and minifrige (not minibar, but is up to you to fill it). They pay very much attention to housekeeping so every tme we were out they check the room, cleaned it and did all necessary changes. The breakfast suits every taste: continental, English, American breackafast or the best of them. They have large garden to walk, a nice swiming pool so you can hide from heat here. I don't know why is not 5 stars because all it offers is 5 stars.
This is our second visit to the property and we were definitely not disappointed! We alerted the villa that we were returning and they made every effort to welcome us back by ensuring that everything was perfect..and it absolutely was! Our time at the property was met with courteous staff and around helpful attendants. Each and everyday was started off with a beautiful and plentiful breakfast (hot & cold) with our American coffee (or you could request an espresso or cappuccino). The room was beautiful and each are uniquely decorated with a traditional Italian flare. The grounds are so beautifully manicured and so peaceful to walk around... we enjoyed ourselves so much we can't wait to come back. We had a car so we did not use the complimentary shuttle to Florence city center, a bonus for those without a car! Grazie Villa Olmi Firenze. See you soon!
We stayed here from 2nd to 6th June as part of a Mugello GP race package. Everything was stunning. The room, hotel and grounds were beautiful and staff were all so courteous and helpful. I have to follow a gluten free diet but they had bread and pasta for me. The restaurant also high quality. I loved every second. The only slight negatives (being picky) were coffee making facilities had limited supply of milk and also only two bottles of water. Drinks and food a touch more expensive than anticipated but you get what you pay for. I would not hesitate to recommend!
A welcome lunchtime return to one of our favorite Italian hotels.Situated approximately 3 miles outside Florence this is the perfect spot to enjoy an elegant lunch (or dinner) in beautiful tranquil surroundings. Gardens, history and exceedingly helpful and friendly staff make this place a real must for those seeking the finer pleasures in life. We will return in 2018 for an extended stay.
The hotel is very, very, very beautiful, and the fact of being away from the city is not bad, even because it has the shuttle. The breakfast is amazing and the room and the amenities are nice. The staff is very kind. Alessandro helped us a lot with some particular things we needed, because he speaks portuguese. The shower is terrible with just a few and very hot or very cold water. It is not possible to reach a good temperature. In our first night the internet was not working in the room. The hotel is beautiful and has a good structure. I think we were not lucky this time.
If you don't want to stay in the city of Florence then this is the place to stay, absolutely gorgeous. The location is just gorgeous and the view of the Tuscan hills from your room is exactly what you want when staying in Florence. The staff are very friendly and extremely helpful. The rooms were very nice, very comfy bed. The grounds are just lovely to walk around, the breakfasts are very nice and lots to choose from. Highly recommend
We reserved this hotel for a couple of nights while we were with our 18 month old baby in Florence and we got a lot more than we expected at this hotel, the transportation to the center of the city makes it easy if you rent a car to drive around Italy since parking is very hard to find. Our room was huge and the bed was very comfortable. We were provided with a crib for our son at no extra cost and without asking for one. The attention at the restaurant is very good and the food is of a 5 star restaurant. I highly recommend this hotel if you want the best bang for your buck. We will be back whenever we visit Florence again.
We stayed here 4 nights as part of a tour. The grounds are gorgeous and inviting.. You can see the rooms on their website. We had a beautiful view from our room. I am posting one with the window open & one with the paned windows closed. We had dinner one night as part of the tour & it was excellent. The menu prices were reasonable. We were on the 2nd floor. Wifi worked fine for me on my IPad in the room, but my granddaughter's on her IPhone kept dropping out so she used it mainly in the lobby. This would be a perfect place for a honeymoon. There is a shuttle from the Villa into Florence, but if you wanted to stay late in Florence a taxi probably wouldn't cost that much. It would be nice to stay there when it's warm enough to used the pool. It was into the high 40's F. at nite & low 70's F during the day. The first 2 nights we sleep with the window open, but on the second nite my granddaughter had mosquitoes buzzing around her head so we had to close the window and I killed 3. Europe doesn't screens anywhere, I don't think. Other than that, it was perfect.
Grounds and Historic Villa very pretty and large. Restaurant menu had good (local) food and great service. Very close to Florence, free parking and wifi, Breakfast was great, rooms large and well decorated. Futura was very nice, it was a beautiful stay in Tuscany!
We stayed here recently and had an amazing time. As you arrive up the drive the fountain greets you and the villa seems very opulent. The grounds are plenty and lined with olive trees, old olive presses and spectacular views of the hillside. The grounds are maintained and everywhere is very clean. Inside the villa the opulence continues with cabinets and walls full of paintings, porcelain antique clocks etc. The staff are all very warm and welcoming, check in was informative and efficient. The rooms are within villas in the grounds so you have access to a communal sitting room dinning room/kitchen should you wish to use it and outside eating spaces. The rooms are very clean and full of antique furniture and decoration. They are spacious and very comfortable. The beds are like home which you can't always say when you go away. The bathroom hosts a spa bath which was a welcome addition after sightseeing all day. The toiletries provided were very nice. The room tastefully hides the modern technology, an automated airfreshner keeping the room smelling lovely, a light on the outside which indicates the room is occupied. The temperature of the room can be operated by the reception staff via the computer. The breakfasts were a feast each day fruit, yogurt, juices, cheese, cereals, meats, cooked breakfast, breads and pastries to name a few things. It is all presented very well and the porcelain and silver cutlery make it a more refined experience. A free shuttle bus runs from the hotel into florence. Out of season this was at 10.00 and 6pm each day. This did mean that we did have to get taxi on occasions, who are very prompt but it does mean additional cost needs considering approx €20. There is a local bus if you do have more time and is a cheaper option. I still feel it is worth the cost if you are looking for more than a city break. The villa does also have an outside pool open seasonally. I fully recommended a stay at villa Olmi resort.
