We booked this hotel as it seemed quite convenient having the free shuttle from the airport and into the city the next morning. However be aware that there are only a couple of buses, it runs at fixed times and only if pre-booked. The hotel did not tell us this when they confirmed our booking and we ended up paying 28Euro for a taxi from the airport for a 5 min journey! Our room was also quite disppointing, the carpet was stained and the bathroom was dirty and on the whole the place is tired and could do with a refresh.
Stayed here overnight during my tour of Europe. Nice hotel, very clean and facilities were world class. Clean comfortable room and amenities, together with good meals. Has a pool deck and a games area.
I stayed at the hotel for 4 night and have not often experienced such a bad service. especially considering, that our company is a regular customer, you would assume they try to make the stay pleasant. a summery of the service: we booked the renovated rooms level 8, but by mistake I got put on level 5 which is urgently in need for an upgrade. When I mentioned the mistake ti the management, no apology or reduced rate was offered. The hotel Shuttle didn't arrive in the city and it took me 2,5 hours to get back to the hotel...no comment from reception. On arrival I wasn't aware that not all taxis take credit card and I didnt have cash on me, the hotel was not willing to pay and put it on my room and I had to search for an ATM with the cab driver....these are just a few examples. To also mention the positive: The service and friendliness at breakfast was great. I would not recommend to book, awful location, average distance from airport, bad service and unreliable shuttle.
Very nice Hotel! It was clean, the bathtub was Huge! The food was very good and dint have to wait long at all! The staff was friendly as well! I Requested a taxi ride to the airport at 5 am and it was waiting for me when I went to check out. Very convenient, the price was affordable and it was clean. The bed was very comfortable and I slept like a baby!! Highly recommended if your looking for an affordable hotel by the airport.
We were on our way to Nice from Amalfi and we made the wrong turn so we ended up in front of this hotel by accident. We got two rooms facing each other. For an airport hotel, this is great. Clean. Good customer service. Moderately priced.
Don't let the entrance and lobby fool you! Lobby was clean and very modern. Staff was extremely helpful but over worked! Our tour arrived and they were not ready for the group. The staff did the best they could but not enough staff to work the group(app.70 people) and management is to be blamed for that--not front end staff. The rooms were a complete disaster! The carpets were filthy and we would not walk on carpet without shoes! The bathroom was okay but in need of up date. Truly the worse hotel room I have ever been in!!! Staff was willing to change rooms. At least five other people were at the desk asking for room change. Seriously, look for another hotel in that area even if you have to pay more. It does have a business center but only one computer that is extremely slow and the printer didn't work.
Nothing special, but nothing bad about the place. Clean, quiet, with a nice restaurant. Room air conditioning wasn't working well. Free WiFi. The advertised airport shuttle doesn't start running until 8:00 in the morning, so if you need to depart earlier the front desk will book you a taxi. Make sure you do it when you check in the night before.
This rather old and weirdly-designed hotel in an industrial area was not the type I would usually recommend to anyone. Nevertheless, considering the high price of hotels in Florence, thought this was worth to look beyond the dirty bathroom sink and give a try for the budget-conscious: a) Good price for family room of 4pax. b) Breakfast buffet included c) Free parking d) Free shuttle bus to city and back (3 times slots for morning and evening. Savings in taxi fares) e) Very friendly and helpful reception staffs (Recommended and helped made reservation for a good restaurant in city - Osteria Natalino. Pasta and tiramisu were great.) f) Nice swimming pool (To cool down if travelling during the summer months). Lastly, if must eat at the nearby restaurants, go for Italian or McDonalds.
We stayed in an upgraded executive room, that obviously does not having any seating in it yet? There was a coffee machine, but no milk, or teaspoons. The person booking us in was friendly, but needed reminding about the complimentary drink, for which we were charged and then credited when I pointed this out. I had booked in on line requesting fresh milk, but there was non and again like Tokyo they said sorry can't do. The pool looked cool and refreshing, but unfortunately people were smoking cigars so put us off. Dinner was lovely and the maitre de very friendly and attentive. The downstairs reception area had chairs with fake leather and these were splitting, not a good look. When we came down to breakfast there were 4 staff members by the desk to book in for breakfast, including a manager and not one of them smiled or greeted us, in fact I felt we were a problem for them, most unwelcoming. The shuttle took us to the railway station no problem. Just a lot of niggles that as a Platium member I do not accept or expect.
It was with some trepidation that I checked into the Florence Airport Novotel. I had chosen the hotel as it was a Novotel; it was close to the airport; and it offered a free airport shuttle (a liitle more about this later on) which I thought would be helpful in getting to the hotel and then returning to the airport the next day to pick up my rental car. I then looked at the Trip Advisor reviews (I know I got this in the wrong order) and saw quite a few very negative ones. I was really concerned about the reaction I was going to get from my number one critic and travel companion (the wife). Instead of brickbats, I got bouquets, The hotel is superb. The room was large, modern, clean, well-furnished and comfortable with great toiletry amenities, slippers, robe, etc. Free wifi and breakfast were good. Of major note was the friendliness and helpfulness of all the staff with whom we interacted. This is certainly a place to which I would happily return. The slight negative was the free shuttle -- it only operates on a limited timetable and so my late-ish arrival meant I had to take a taxi to the hotel. The return shuttle to the airport in the morning was fine.
