Bay Window -incredible river views- Old Town- new deck! Lots of stairs.

Reserved parking! The Bay Window is a newly renovated, SECOND STORY (stairs) stand-alone apartment facing the majestic Siuslaw River. There are two main king bedrooms (4) guests, and one twin hide-away bedroom-(perfect for one extra guest). We are centrally located in the bustling restaurant and gallery district of Florence, Oregon. Renovations on this historic 1930’s building were complete in February 2022.

Although the Bay Window is a new listing, we also own and operate the VRBO listings: the Little Beach Bungalow, the Tides, and the Dunes. We are very attentive hosts and we’re looking forward to hosting our newest property!!

Be assured that our experienced housekeeping staff (myself included) is going above and beyond to clean ALL touch surfaces (door knobs and cabinet handles, light switches, heating controls, remote controls, etc), with proper sanitizing cleaning supplies, we are rotating from our stored linens complete sets of towels and linens between guests, and are opening doors and windows to allow fresh coastal air to circulate between each stay. We are also providing cleaning supplies and sanitizers for our guest’s person use.

Important: We love our property and our downstairs business neighbor. Please no parties or rambucious behavior.

The Bay Window Description:

The Bay Window is a 1500 square foot newly remodeled UPSTAIRS stand alone apartment. It’s perfect for guests that want a river view while also being located in the heart of Old Town. We are located above the Periwinkle gift store, and we are surrounded by fabulous restaurants, galleries and coffee houses.

Stay connected:
Excellent WIFI cell service with internet connection. Instructions located on the mantle by the dining table.

Love Music?!:
Bluetooth Bose Speaker-easy connect with house internet connection and your cell device!

The Coffee/Tea Connoisseur:
A duel Keurig coffee maker for pods and/or drip coffee, and a coffee pour over option as well. Starbucks Pods and ground coffee provided. Hot tap and tea kettle are perfect for a nice cup of tea! We provide a nice selection of various teas.

For the Cooks:
The kitchen is well appointed with a full sized refrigerator, a stove/oven/microwave, and a toaster. There is a complete dish selection with service for 6. Glasses, wine glasses, shot glasses, coffee mugs, silverware, new cookware pots and pans, cutting knifes, measuring spoons and cups, crab crackers, serving spoons, serving dishes and bowls, mixing bowls, cooking utensils, blender, wine opener, can opener, kitchen towels, paper towels, and coastal cook books. Storage containers, plastic wrap, foil, dish soap, hand soap, and extra garbage bags. There’s is a large spice rack, salt and pepper, and olive oil. We do not provide sugar or flour.

Share a Meal or Work a Puzzle:
Large glass dining table with a beautiful coral collection base is situated perfectly to take in the spectacular river views. Seats six comfortably. We hope you enjoy our collection of puzzles, books and board games.

Eat Out and Play:
Florence has so many wonderful restaurants and fun outdoor activities. Our favorites are in our ‘welcome book’ located on the dining table, but feel free to reach out and ask for recommendations.

Get Some Rest:
Two main bedrooms have king beds, en suite baths, with fresh white linens and towels. One small bedroom has a TWIN sofa sleeper and a jack & Jill connection to the main bathroom. Each bedroom has a 50 inch smart TV with easy connection to your apps as well a a variety of standard networks. The two main bedrooms are located on the street side and there may be traffic noises in the evenings. Most business close at 8pm.

Lounge Around:
The inviting living room has new reclining sofa with chase lounge and handsome leather reading chairs. A cozy hanging swing chair situated where you can see the river or the TV. Large 55 inch television can be seen in both the living and dining rooms.
Sony system to watch your selection of apps like Netflix etc. or enjoy the standard networks.
Spectrum cable and internet with password provided at check in ensures excellent cell and internet service.

Pamper Yourself:
Large modern bathroom with a stylish design, tub and shower, hair dryer, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, soaps, and fluffy white bath towels, hand towels, wash clothes, all provided.

Keeping Clean:
New washer and dryer with washer pods and dryer sheets provided. A Rumba vacuum system does the work to help clean up after sandy feet!

Breathe Clean Air:
Located in each bedroom is a Coway Air Purifier. These air purifiers feature H13 True Filters with 24db filtration systems. The HEPA filters remove 99.97% of dust, pollen, smoke, mold, and odors. The Core 300 has an air change rate of 5 times per hour.

Take It Outside:
Take in the view from the 40 foot deck with new BBQ and 4 Adirondack chairs

Go To The Beach or Play Around Town:
This upstairs apartment centrally located to all that Old Town has to offer! It’s 4 miles to the beach, 2 miles from golf and tennis, 12 miles to the Heceta Lighthouse, 1.5 miles to City Lights Theater. There’s a lovely picnic basket on top the fridge for day trips.

We are located in the busy Old Town restaurants & shopping district. Here are some parking tips!

1. I always try for street parking in front of the Bay Window building. If there isn’t anything immediately available, 
2. then I park in front of the gazebo, or double park to unload. 
3. Street spaces open up very frequently, and there are several side streets close to the building. The busiest time in Old Town (Bay Street) is the dinner hour, otherwise parking is generally easy to find close to the front door or on side streets.
4. Parking is readily available in the evenings, but if necessary there is additional parking in the lot in front of the Bodega Food & Wine Parlor. The spaces for First American Title are available after 5pm.

We are currently on a waiting list for reserved parking, but even that is a block away. So I highly recommend parking on Bay Street for the most convenient parking. 

(Re: Early check in - it’s important to pre arrange early check in for two mainreasons.First, to allow our housekeeping staff to work without interruption. Second, our electronic lock system is set up for an after 4pm arrival. The locks will not open for your code before 4pm on check in day. I’m happy to provide free pre arranged early check in whenever it is possible. 🙂)
