Loved our stay in the spacious clean rooms. Wifi was great, breakfast was great. Sure tv sm 16 inch screen but who cares. Who comes to Florence to watch tv. THE BATHROOM IS CLEAN AND ROOMY. So glad we decided to stay here. All staff very friendly.
True the rooms are small, dated and furnishings are not the nicest but this budget hotel has an excellent location and the staff are friendly and helpful. It is an excellent choice for those traveling on a budget
I came to Florence with little in the way of preconceived notions. So I was happy to have a clean room. The housekeeper did not respond to my requests which I wrote in a note placed so it would be seen. Supplies were not restocked when emptied. Don’t know if this was a language problem or the staff. Breakfast was alright each day. The coffees and lattes were enjoyed. The hotel staff tried hard to cater to our needs. Grazie!
First let’s start by saying one of the worst run hotels I’ve ever been in. The rooms are almost the smallest but Hong Kong has that. Staff totally ignorant, no heat, dog poop front of door, bringing inside sorry can’t help. Wake up call never given. In room drawers don’t open, lighting dull at best. Tv is a 18” computer screen. Breakfast watered down juice, stale cereal, good coffee though. WiFi very weak at best
Mattresses I think WW2 leftovers.Very small bedroom, nice bath, reception horrible at best. Asked how long before should I arrive airport flying international her response I don't work there.Wouldnt recommend.Shower doesn't even have soap dish no tissues.
We were on main floor, at end of hallway. Bed took up 3/4 of room. If someone sat at desk, the other person couldn't walk past. Nor could we really unpack as there was almost nowhere to put anything. First night was really noisy - young men in rooms next to ours kept us awake. Breakfast was OK. Staffers were nice enough. Breakfast doesn't open till 730 - not great if you need to be somewhere. The young woman was kind enough to open for us 15 minutes early on our last day so we could quickly gobble something down before leaving.
This was our second stop on our Italy trip. The hotel was okay with room for improvement. Spacious rooms but the door was like a paper-thin wall. If someone came home or someone talked a bit loud you could here it. The AC was working well. The WiFi only worked in one corner of the room and we were right next to the WiFi area/lounge. The bathrooms were clean and modern but quite small. When we arrived a used shower gel was still there( to be fair the next morning it was replaced by a new one). Now the breakfast. It was good for an Italian breakfast. A lot of people complained about it here saying it was sparse. But you have to keep in mind you are in a different country with different customs. In Italy the Italian breakfast usually contains only a croissant and a coffee. If you want a different kind of breakfast, you have to stay at big hotel chains where the Italian charme is completely lost. So all in all it was enough for an Italian breakfast and the staff was nice. The hotel was aprox. 20min away from Santa Maria Novella and approx. 15min away from the cathedral and approx. 10min from the Galleria dell' Accademia. The staff was really helpful e.g. they booked us the tickets for the Galleria. So all in all a good hotel with minor flaws.
Should be called a bed and breakfast. To call this a hotel is a joke. Old, dated and the rooms have weird old furniture in them. I'm cool with a hotel not being "modern" but this is beyond that. Plus they cannot clean thoroughly as old clothes were found in an armoire by someone in our group. The lady in charge or reception was rude and unpleasant. The breakfast was not good. Mostly bread. No meat or eggs at all. The extra star is because they have an actual espresso machine rather than the push button ones I found in other hotels. For that reason I gave more because I enjoyed the fresh cappuccino.
We (a family of three people with a child of 9 years) came to this hotel at 7pm. I will tell you that there is 40 degrees of heat on the street. The girl at the reception took us to a room that looked like a terrible old grandmother's room. It smelled of dampness, the size of the room corresponded to the claimed photos (it was about three times less). It was impossible to move three people in it. And the worst thing is that the air conditioner did not work in the room. More precisely, he blew, but did not cool the room at all! We went out into the corridor, went to another room - it was cool everywhere except our room !!!! And this girl blatantly lied to us that the room is cooled !!!! We live in Israel, we know how the air conditioner works at 16 degrees. Such a disgusting attitude I have not seen anywhere !!!! People, I want to warn you against the order of this hotel !!!
Very helpful and friendly staff. Great location for walking or taking the bus to sites. Good free breakfast. Kinda small rooms and minimal air conditioning, but that was true for every hotel we stayed in in four cities.
