Bologna: Just 35 minutes. Take the high-speed trains from Firenze Santa Maria Novella (SMN) station directly to the center of Bologna.

Pisa: Approximately 1 hour by regional train (Treno Regionale Veloce). The train takes you directly to the city center, from where the Leaning Tower is within walking distance.

Lucca: Approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes by direct train. The beautiful, completely preserved city walls are located right next to Lucca's train station. By bus or car (ideal for the hilly terrain).

Siena: Approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes. The best way to get there is by taking the express bus (Rapida) from the bus station near Firenze SMN. The bus stops directly in the old town, while Siena's train station is located outside the city.
