Best Location in Firenze

Everything worked like clockwork. The property management Officina 360 were attentive and did everything possible to make our stay enjoyable - including a great description of local services like grocery and restaurants during our check in. This is a very old building retrofitted to several apartments so there are quirks about the place - but we loved it all. It was comfortable, had a functional kitchen with a dishwasher, and best of all was handy to everything to see in Florence. We will stay there again next time we are in Florence.

Great Location

Wonderful Location, pictures are accurate, but upstairs is hard to comprehend from the pictures. The twin room looks out over the living room balcony and kitchen dining balcony (so front and back wall have "open large doorways") and the queen room looks over just a kitchen dining balcony. I believe the partial walls are to let air conditioning or heat flow through. All are covered by gold drapes that you can slide to keep the lighting out or the AC out. You go up a narrow staircase and the bedrooms are directly across from one another at the top of the stairs. Due to the curtains and close proximity there is not a lot of privacy, but it was fine for us There are two bathrooms, plenty of hot water. The electric is delicate (older) and the first thing we were told was how to flip the breaker switch in the apt. and if that did not work, down two flights of stairs to the entrance. Good thing she told us, because we started a load of wash with both AC's on and it flipped. Hubby got to take the trip downstairs. You have to turn off one AC to do a load of wash. The kitchen was well stocked, the living room was large and couches were comfortable. The beds were not as comfortable.. the queen bed seemed thin and the sheets were stiff, but that is a matter of preference. The owner may want to consider changing the twin mattresses as our daughter could feel lumps/springs. She is not a complainer, and very petite at 5'4" and 105 lbs...but mentioned it more than once. Owner left maps and tourist information for us. We did not have dishwasher soap or laundry soap and were left with a couple of small (hotel packets) of liquid soap for the bath and 1-2 rolls of toilet paper (for a 4 night stay) So we purchased all of this for our use. It could be a difference between the US and Europe.. I am not sure. No directions for the washing machine (which is also a dryer) so that was pretty frustrating at the time. Also dishes were not as clean as I would like. I recommend rewashing all dishes before use. I did not voice any of my concerns to the owner during our stay because nothing was so bad that it warranted a call. Overall good experience. Large apartment for the right price in a great location.
