Specially designed for romantic and relaxing enjoyment, this 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom cabin. The bedroom is located upstairs with king bed and Amazon Firestick TV which overlooks the noisy creek. There is a minisplit with Heat AND AC.

On the main level, the living room offers old-timey wood burning stove- great to snuggle up on those cool mountain evenings (wood not provided), 40" Smart HDTV and high speed internet. The kitchen is equipped for cooking for the 2 of you and there is plenty of seating around the dining table. The full bathroom is just off the hallway/kitchen area on the main floor. There is a minisplit in the living room with heat AND AC with a remote control.

Enjoy relaxing in our wonderful 2 person hot tub overlooking the creek. You can cross the creek over our foot bridge and wander up to the private pond out back stocked with koi (NO FISHING ALLOWED). There is a small fire pit by the creek as well. Build a small fire, sit back and relax. You can listen to the sounds of the creek while enjoying your precious time away from home. There is a gas grill on the back deck overlooking the stream.

Creekside Waterfalls is located next to a state maintained road that the locals travel making it easy year round access between Boone and West Jefferson.

Appalachian Ski Mountain is approx. 30 minutes away in Blowing Rock. Sugar Mountain Ski Resort is approximately 45 minutes from our cabin.

There is a 2 night minimum for off peak seasons and a 3 night minimum for holidays and the entire month of October. 4 night minimum for the Thanksgiving holiday and a 7 night minimum for the July 4th and Christmas/New Year holidays.

As you plan your trip to the mountains, please remember we do get rain, snow and some foggy days and occasional inconveniences which are out of our control. Winter weather in the Blue Ridge Mountains can occur from November through April. The majority of our homes are accessed by mountain roads, which will be icy in winter weather. For the safety of you and your party, please be prepared to drive in snow and ice. This means 4-wheel drive, good tires, and chains. It is your responsibility to be prepared for hazardous road conditions. There will be NO refunds, allowances, or date changes resulting from your negligence in this matter.
The cabin is air-conditioned and features a kitchen and space to spread out with a separate bedroom. A TV comes with satellite channels and a DVD player, and guests can stay connected with free WiFi. Other standard amenities include a washing machine, a fireplace, and a coffee maker.

Check in and locating property all are easy . Checking in is simple! The cottage outwardly is nice and the property itself is awesome. The cottage is perfect for two people and well appointed. Keep in mind it is an old cottage so there is a musty / dusty smell when you arrive. The dust inside is a bit much if you are sensative to those things. It appears that surface cleaning is done but there is a lot of lack of attention to detail. Dust balls in corners and under couch. The fans have dust accumulation in them . The drapes over the sliding door are worn out and dated along with missing some of the hanging hooks. It does not present a nice appearance at first glance. The dust on the lampshades is an eyesore. The A/C unit condensation line leaks back into the house so you have to use a towel on the floor to sop water spreading when it’s hot outside. The ‘eyes’ on the stove top have t been cleaned in ages . This is disappointing because it’s easy to replace them at went dollar store.I was very conflicted in that I liked a lot about this place but can’t seem to get past the issues.

Pleasant, small older home

The house is tucked back off the road. Somewhat difficult to see the graveled driveway in the dark. I recommend they put out reflectors on either side of the driveway to make it easier to see it in the dark. The kitchen is very small, but adequately supplied for two people. The couch in the living room is rather tired. There is a nice smart TV with a Roku remote to access your favorite shows. The bedroom is upstairs. The dead is two twin beds pushed together to create a king bed. The mattress is fairly comfortable. The only real problem we had was the air conditioner Made a repetitive clicking sound all night. Made it very difficult to sleep. I contacted the property manager the next day and he recommended turning the unit on and off to see if that corrected the problem which it did not. It was cool enough that we were able to open the windows to sleep at night . Problem Solved. There is a small pond on the property Which creates a small waterfall. There is a lovely hot tub that we enjoyed on the back deck. It is very private. I brought my dog with me. It would have been nice to have a gate on the back deck to prevent her from leaving the deck. There is a high top table with two high top chairs that we enjoyed sitting at. Be sure you bring with you shampoo and soap as there is none provided

Perfect location

We came to this cabin to celebrate our July birthdays. We love West Jefferson so this was perfect as far as location. The only negative was the landscaping from the cabin to the pond was a little overgrown. Otherwise, it was perfect for our needs. We would definitely return!

Wonderful Place!

I can't express enough how wonderful our stay was. It was just my husband and I on this stay, the check in was very smooth and easy as was the check out. The place was a dream come true and everything that was advertised and then some. Pictures can't even do it justice as it was so beautiful. The seclusion was just as they said. Perfect for that private getaway but still close enough to almost everything to not be a hassle. It was easy to find and access and loved how dog friendly it is. Would definitely reccomend and will be looking to stay again next year! -Lindsay Rush

Only a few miles, to the entrance to the Blue Ridge Mountains. Which is the biggest gem. Boone and Blowing Rock, are neighboring towns. With all the hiking your gonna do, just think, your coming home to a hot tub! If I lived in the mountains, the tub is a must! What a cute cabin. Hiking, a pond, a creek, etc. I hope to be back

The check-in/ check-out process was simple. The cabin was located in a good condition. We encountered an issue with the bathroom door, which we communicated to the property manager immediately. Even at 8:30 pm he quickly answered his phone. Overall a good stay in a beautiful area!

Cozy Cabin Magical Creek

Overall, wow, I was enchanted. I took so many photos of the outdoors. We had what we needed inside and slept comfortably. The place was obviously loved and curated by a creative owner at some point. Now, we noticed neglect, needing simple repairs, trimming back branches from walkways and around the pond, and power washing the deck. We were comfortable and relaxed, and we appreciated every minute we were there. I just felt sorry for the little cabin.

close to mountains!

our stay was pleasant and found what we expected. the location is close enough to different state parks and hiking trails we had in mind, which was good. The unit is a little dated (except the bathroom), and can benefit from some update. The neighborhood was not very dog friendly - very tight street with little walking space for a dog (in case people may have the same task in hand in the mornings and nights) Was happy to have two tvs, so after long hikes, we could rest and enjoy a few shows

This was close to being the best rental we’ve experienced amounts our many rentals thru the years. The creek just made it perfect- can’t say enough really how relaxing it was! We will return!
