This hotel has nothing to do with 4 stars - amenities are rather old, there is a strange smell everywhere in the hotel, towels are greyish and shabby. Room is big and rather clean, but far from what you expect from 4 stars. Breakfast is quite basic.

Please don't get fooled by the Hotel website

This hotel didn't match any of my expectations. Everything is "overdue" in this place! Lobby, reception area, swimming pool, spa and rooms are very old, the whole place needs a deep renovation. Awful breakfast. I always trusted Hotels.com, but I don't really understand how they could rate the Salina Maris a 4 stars facility ! Please, do NOT waste your money in this place.

Great experience for visit in Aletsch Arena area

It was a good experience stay here in Aletsch area. After skiing we can have a rest in the pool and the well-being room. Colleagues here are friendly and helpful. It is convenience as they have transportation to send us to the ski station and to the town (scheduled) for dinner and arrival - departure.

I can’t say enough good about this place in fact I liked it so much I extended my trip and came back :) everything is perfect but the best this is the hoteliers Francesca and Markus. Wonderful people who really made my trip with their kind attention and information. Locally there is so much to do, just walking and seeing waterfalls and mountains is delightful and I also went para gliding, and in Zermatt there is year round skiing and shopping. I made good use of the quiet and efficiently run wellness centre every time I returned home tired and felt alive and refreshed and ready to go again :) thank you so much; really appreciate all you have done.

This hotel is not a 4 star!

We were so surprised that this hotel is ranked with 4 stars on hotels.com. We had a rough time finding the hotel. It's off the main road quite a bit. Our room had an unpleasant odor. There are pictures of a fabulous pool online but it doesnt exist. Apparently they are in the process of renovating. The room didn't have tissues and one of the windows was cracked all the way through. The positives are a friendly hotel staff that can speak English and an amazing view.

Schöne Unterkunft, geräumige Zimmer, freundliches Personal. Sauberkeit ist in der Schweiz ohnehin selbstverständlich. Schwimmbad und Sauna sind nach einer anstrengenden Wanderung genau das Richtige. Musste man wg. Corona reservieren, war aber immer was frei. Das Hotel hat keinen eigenen Parkplatz, bekommt aber auf dem Gemeinde-Parkplatz einen reduzierten Tarif. Zu Fuß vom Bahnhof sind's ca. 10 Minuten bei guter Kondition, sonst eher 15 bis 20.
