Holiday Inn Suva

4.0 out of 5.0

I have stayed at the holiday inn for 5 weeks on business. The staff are fantastic and over the whole stay the level of service never dropped. For business the hotel is well placed a short walk from the heart of Suva city and opposite the parliament buildings. I would also recommend for anyone stopping over in suva in transit. Rooms are spacious and clean and breakfast is great. Also for a longer stay would suggest joining the yakavi club for discounts on food and beverages.

Really enjoyed our stay here. The hotel is well located for a walk into town, or along the waterfront in the other direction. Rooms were quiet, modern and had all the amenities you could need (apart from Earl Grey tea!) and cleaning was of a very high standard. Every staff member you met was exceptionally friendly. The selection at the breakfast buffet was great. Would be nice to have a few more vegetarian options on the restaurant menu, but the vegetarian meals we did have were good - lots of nice fresh vegetables.

Very friendly staff always willing to help and always smiling . Rooms were large and were kept clean and had all necessary facilities. For the hotel standard the food and drinks offerings were very expensive although for a fee you could join their club which offered extended happy hours to 9PM and discounts of 20% on snacks and evening dinner in the restaurant . The actual restaurant was very basic and bland and not very busy . To highlight their non justifiable food pricing a 5 star hotel next door offered a fantastic breakfast in a luxury environment at 42FJD compared with the Holiday Inn at 48FJD . The food was of a substantially higher standard at the Pacific Grand next door and generally lower cost .

It is very impressive to see the new revamp of the Holiday Inn in Suva. Staffs are always freindly.  It feels fresh when you walk into the room.  I guess this is what Holiday Inn is all about.  Oh Breakfast was awesome, we had the best quality of sausages in the whole of Fiji, not the cheap fat with wheat flour product..

Holiday is an older hotel but has been done up very well and the rooms are very nice. Staff service is excellent - best on our Fiji visit. Breakfasts are OK, and hotel is handy for local visits. Pool is still the same old one but then not many people go to Suva for a swim.

Really nice rooms since they have been upgraded, great views to the water and the most amazing breakfast you have ever seen. Staff super friendly and helpful. Super convenient location in the middle of Suva just a short stroll to the cities best attractions.

This is our second stay at the Holiday Inn both times staying for the Oceanic games in Suva. My daughter ran in the games winning gold and silver medals which the staff celebrated with us. This hotel is perfect in every way. Beautiful rooms, great food, amazing pool and views but the best thing are the staff members. Elisio went over and above to make our stay perfect. He waited on us every minute of everyday to make sure we had everything and more that we needed. He is like a member of our family. Love you Elisio. The ladies behind the bar forever treated us like gold. We had wonderful service from Jasevata and Eremodo celebrating our daughters medals as in photos. But if you can believe it we accidentally left our passports in safe and travelled 2 hours away around the island. Nancy organised a family member to drive them 2 us and we had them in our hands 2 hours later. I will never forget this act of kindness Nancy and somehow will pay you back. This hotel has left me with the most amazing memories and emotions of Fiji. There are not enough ways to say thankyou. We love you Holiday Inn and god bless to all. Vinaka

Although the hotel is 4 star rated, it performance exceeds other 5-star hotels - this is due entirely to the staff and management who take their commitment to customer service very seriously and do not disappoint. Any issues are tackled promptly and rectified before you have a chance to get disappointed :-). The Sirocco breakfast bar is a real fantastic - great range of fresh fruits and a very good breakfast selection. This is something to look forward to. The rooms are large and are serviced regularly and well. The beds are comfortable. Having clothes washing machine as well as clothes drying facilities were great as we stayed here for a week! The outdoor coffee and pizza space is well located and is a delight to use, on days when it does not rain in Suva. Easy walking distance to the downtown shopping precinct as well as close proximity to leisurely walking areas, museum and Albert Park areas. Does not have a gym in-house but has arrangement to use gym next door at no cost. Internet WiFi is also available and has good performance speeds. Certainly recommend this hotel when in Suva. Hideaway Holidays who had booked this for us, did an excellent and seamless arrangements.

Its hard to say anything wrong about this place. Its a 4 star hotel and fully lives up to its standards. Staff are extremely friendly for a city hotel and facilities are kept and maintained well even though its part of the colonial time setup. Family friendly as well as a good business catchup place. Will certainly come back here.

The hotel is ideally located- 15 minutes stroll into the CBD, and many nearby attractions. My room was very comfortable with everything I needed. It was cleaned and re-stocked every day. The staff are warm and friendly, giving the hotel a wonderful atmosphere.
