I was shocked by 2 things. 1. Decent families actually came to stay at a hotel that looked more like a brothel 2. A hotel like De Vos on the park has partnered with them. I was forced to stay here by De Vos. The staff were friendly but not very helpful and articulate. The room was big, not very clean, I swear something bit me all night as my body itched on that bed. Next day in the morning I ran off to De Vos again. Downright pathetic, less of a hotel more of a brothel.

I would say that the staff who helped were the only plus point. On the other hand, the floor wasn't swept properly with dead insects and lizard faeces.. please take your own towels. And get your milk and tea supplies.. and having to pay soo much for one night is unbelievable.. was the last choice of accomodation as others were fully booked.. I'd recommend you to save your money for a better resort If only they could do some improvements by taking down faded paintings and all I guess it would look better

I stayed here for at least four nights. It is clean but could really need some areas concentrating when clean some dirt and insects still around so probably needs to have their staff to be more vigilant when cleaning. Enough room to cater for a family on a budget stay. Very safe when you in the hotel but need to be careful around the street best not to venture out at night. The Fijian of Indian origin that is the receptionist was very helpful though stern, she was quite truthful in her answers when being questioned about the place of which I really appreciated. The security and cleaners are very very nice they made my stay a good one. Cooking facilities provided which is a plus. I stayed here because other places was booked out and I was quite happy never regretted it.

Staying at Capricorn was by far my worst experience till date. Firstly, it is not worth the price at all. If they charge immense amount of money for a room, then the room should be up to par. Walking to the room was an experience in itself as i had to make my way past all the dirt and dead insects. I expected the room to be better, but i was heavily disappointed. The bathtub was dirty and there were ants crawling on the toilet seat. The fridge door had a clip on it to keep it from opening. What shocked me more was that the fridge was covered in mold and there was food left in the fridge by the previous occupants of the room. There was also an open jar of sugar in the fridge amidst the molds. To add to that, the fridge was leaking. All the kitchen appliances were rusty and old. If that wasn't enough, the bed sheets were dirty there were dead ants on it. I stayed there with my family and it is not an experience that i want to go through again. We would have moved to another hotel if they had rooms available for a big family. My family and I stayed there for a day only and it was horrible. The receptionist was extremely rude to the cleaners. She was questioning them for laughing, which seemed pretty bizarre. I think the receptionist failed to realize that humans have rights and they don't need her permission to laugh. Screaming at their cleaners will not magically make their rooms any better when their appliances itself are so old and rusty. It seems like the owner is a cheapskate and doesn't want to spend money on making his hotel a more comfortable place for his guests. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. This hotel needs to either shut down or needs some serious renovation.

Book four nights here 22-26/10/2016. On arrival the receptionist was unhelpful. We were led to dirty rooms. Bed linen stained, dirty sheets. Cockroaches and ants crawling all over. Fridge stunk and leaking. Overall room very dirty. We left and booked the Novotel in Lami, best hotel in Suva. I did get a full refund after I made a complaint to my booking agent. The Gujarati people that own this place dont care for quality service only for the money they can get from unsuspecting travellers. Dont book this place you will regret it. I am currently writing letters of complaints to the appropriate bodies to investigate this place and hopefully get them to clean up the place or shut it down. I am Fijian and I'm most embarrassed about this place.

Booked for 2 nights, stayed for 4. My friend and I wanted cheap and cheerful and we got it. The room was spacious, could sleep 6 and had all the amenities you needed for a self catering stay. Fridge, gas stove, toastie oven etc. It also comes with air con. As well as a balcony with a view of the ocean the Capricorn has a pool which is well maintained and it is a short 3-5 minute walk to the MHCC and other great shopping. Location, location, location. The staff were super, esp the laundry and house-keeping ladies! Vinaka lewas! Water was not super hot, except for 1 morning when I had to add a lot of cold to the mix, but the hot water certainly wasn't cold at any time. A quiet place to stay, security is good, beds comfortable. It is a place to stay in true Fijian fashion, it's not flash or fancy, but cheap and cheerful. Vinaka folks, we will be back!

I thought it was over-priced for the quality of the room, but I guess Suva is a hard place to get a room anyway so it can be expensive. No hot water, didn't feel very clean, quite run down and needs a lot of work.

Booked a two bedroom accommodation for Friday night. Was Ok, dated and not that clean, hairs all over beds etc, not hot water in the morning. Expected better for $260 but it was a high demand weekend, would not want to stay in this place for too long. The concierge whilst friendly and helpful would not leave without a big hint? Not sure what he was hanging round for.

Visit this hotel to look for a room to stay for a week but the receptionist was not very welcoming with poor customer services. Will not recommend this hotel. I don't have more to say but I would recommend that you visit personally and see for yourself, maybe they have changed.

Spent a night at this hotel in the city and its was a nightmare, looking for a place to crash after night out don't have much of a choice. Room was absolutely filthy, refrigerator is broken and switched off makes it stink when it open, they have 1950's kind of light switch and power point that blew my phone charger. There was a storm that night and it rain so heavily. I'm soo freaked out when I opened the door and two stray cats fighting right in front of my door they enter the room chasing each other up the bed bathroom and out while I'm still standing at the door screaming wondering what the hell is going on #Catfight Almost everything in the room is broken and faulty. Also drunken local and street boys used the streets at night, poor security, don't leave any valuables inside the room. I will not recommend this hotel to any of my family, colleagues and mates that's for sure. Horrible experience ever
