We were very excited to spend our July 4 weekend with friends at this beach house. Little did we know or realize this 5 bedroom house is actually two separate apartments. The main apartment, one with balcony is where we spend most of the time. This apartment did not have a washing machine which was okay. But no dishwasher was a surprise for the price. But the worst was yet to come. After we left the apartment, I got an email that we broke a papasan chair. I was surprised since we had moved it out of the way to sit on floor and play cards. We asked for pictures to confirm that this chair was not previously broken. To my shock, the property manager shared pictures that appeared to have been from the cloud/server indicating there was a camera in the family room. We were all shocked to see this and asked mitten house property person to clarify. He stopped responding to me ever since and had already charged me for the cost of a new chair with cushion. I asked him to take out the cost of the cushion at the least, he won’t and will not respond. We filed a case with Vrbo. It was extremely stressful dealing with this property manager and privacy invasion after spending a lot of money for a two night stay.
