The signage for the hotel is a bit problematical as we had to drive way past it, the whole length of Via Darsena, and then turn around before we saw the logo. The parking seemed to be plentiful. The cheerful receptionist who welcomed us, was charmingly chatty and gave us lots of friendly advice during our stay. I'm ashamed to say that I omitted to ask her name, but she was so bubbly and enthusiastic in her work that I am sure she would be recognised by her management by this description. I'm sorry to say that the public rooms, stairways, carpets and our room are in great need of refurbishment - they are not 'shabby chic' they are just shabby. Perhaps this is why the price of the room was relatively low? To return to the positive, the room and bathroom were a good size, and the balcony was a nice addition. Everything was clean and the bed was comfortable, and the room was quiet. Breakfast was varied and plentiful - we were one of the last couples to arrive in the breakfast room, but we never felt hurried and there was still enough choice - including Buck's Fizz but sadly we had a car outside! The stroll into town was very pleasant, but since we were only staying for one night we got a taxi back as we were not sure of the way in the dark.

Very clean hotel. Reception staff very friendly and full of information, Bus to town stops running at 8pm instead this hotel runs a shuttle car driven by a very nice gentleman. My room was on the 2nd floor with no windows only sky, lights. Bathroom was small but always very clean. Buffet breakfast was excellent and Bucks Fizz was available if you wished. There is a small bar with bar snacks in the foyer at reasonable prices. No evening meal is provided but you can order Pizza and salad to be delivered to the hotel.

Very nice hotel closed to city center you can reach walking 15 minutes. Easiest way to visit Ferrara and taste typical food. In fact near this hotel you can find 'I Tri scalin' and 'Da Noemi' restaurants. Rooms are confortable and have nice colours.

In the hotels beautiful paintings and décor are immerses you in the Renaissance. Price for the 4 star more or less attractive. I'll recommend for couples, lovers or traveling families. The hotel located 20 minutes ' walk from the downtown.

We had a very comfortable stay - used it as a basis to visit Venice ( 1 hour 20 minutes by train) and Bologna. We visited Venice on one of the wettest days ever ( still enjoyed it 😀) - really appreciated our comfortable hotel room when we returned. The hotel has good parking and is on the outskirts of Ferrara - around 20 minutes walk to the centre, which wasn't a problem for us. The hotel provides free bicycles and there are good cycle paths if you prefer. The staff are pleasant and helpful, breakfasts are excellent - we will definitely return one day. PS - should have said that Ferrara is a lovely town - good restaurants, an interesting castle and great shops.

This hotel is within an easy 20 minute walk of the centre of Ferrara - the town that calls itself the 'City of the Bicycle'. This charming and laid back city is pedestrianised in the centre, with many of the population, old and young, cycling around. This makes the city centre a very pleasant place to visit as there are no cars and fumes. The hotel is not in the most historic part of this attractive city, but it is perfectly comfortable and theft is perfectly acceptable. There are several other good eating places available on the nights when the holiday does not include dinner.

We stayed as part of a tour group. Not many restaurants nearby but didn't mind as the city centre is only 10 to 15 minutes walk away. All hotel staff very friendly and helpful. Good comfortable small bar and sizeable dining area for breakfast. Reasonable choice on the buffet style breakfast, there were times when the hot water and coffee ran dry, they were soon replaced after requests to do so. Staff didn't seem to well versed in handling large party groups. There are only two levels above the ground floor, corridors nice and wide and our room was large and airy, beds comfortable, it also had a safe and fridge. Ferrara is an attractive city and a good base for visiting nearby towns and cities. We both would be quite happy to stay there again.

This hotel is on the outskirts of Ferrara with a 20 min walk to the centre. We had a car and were happy to walk as there was free on-site parking. The hotel is set on a busy road junction but was quiet at night. The rooms were large with lovely big bathrooms and even a bath and spotlessly clean. We had large twin beds, although we had booked a double or twin (I may not have specified). There was a large balcony which was shaded in the late afternoon. Perfect for a pre-dinner drink and relax, except there was no furniture provided, so we had to carry our armchairs out each day. Also the balcony needed a freshen up as it was tired looking and our large sliding glass door had a crack from top to bottom which we did mention, but it was unsightly. In the public areas the carpets were looking faded and worn and wall damage here and there needed attention. All that said the staff were curteous, friendly and helpful and the breakfast selection was excellent, with fresh coffee made to order. It was good value and I would recommend for a short stay.

Stayed here after The Last Shadow Puppets concert in Ferrara. Not much to look a lot outside but very nice inside. Furnishings are very fitting and staff are very friendly. They give you bikes for a 10 euro deposit and the breakfast is fab!

We stayed here as par of a newmarket group, from the 7th to the 12th june....it is along way out of ferrara and suffers from having no restaurant for evening meals...the nearest decent restaurant is a good walk away.....the rooms are spacious and comfortable, breakfast adequate...the staff were mostly pleasant but my husband fell on the penultimate day and was shaken and wobbly , so we asked if we could extend the stay in the room on our final day...the girl on duty both saturday and sunday was unsympatheitc and said there was no availability, we had offered to pay for an extension...we therefore sat in the foyer from 11am till 17.15 and we saw only one couple check in!!!!!!!!! We were not impressed
