House is wonderful, welcome warm and friendly, everything perfect. Our room was just what you expect large, old but perfect condition and nice and clean, and the bathroom was classy and modern You must book the evening meal its to die for We were there for only one night and wished we could have stayed longer.
The Chateau is located in superb surroundings. The building itself is very impressive too look at and once you are inside it just gets better. The food was very well presented and tasted delicious (thank you Micol). The rooms are decorated to an excellent standard and the bed was comfortable. Sadly we only stayed one night. Oh well we will have to go back again. This place certainly has a wow factor = AAAAA+
We had a fantastic overnight stay here...everything was pretty much perfect...beautiful setting, idllyic grounds, fab pool, amazing rooms, awesome building, lovely welcome and a superb meal. I don't think we can find enough superlatives! Micol was a perfect hostess and you couldn't want for a better place to break your journey...or just head to!
We had a lovely stay if only for one night. The rooms are large and comfortable, the saltwater pool is lovely and the hospitality was first class. Our requests were catered for and the breakfast was very satisfying. The Chateau has lots of history and the present owner happily shared the story of the renovation with us over a glass of champagne before dinner. It is a luxurious and friendly experience.
We stayed at Chateau de Vauloge a number of years ago, but I am only getting around to the review now. Everything about Chateau de Vauloge is fantanic. From the Fusion of French and Italian cuisine, to the breathtaking grounds and architecture, to the warm surroundings and welcome. I hope to visit again some day!
We started our fourteen day holiday by staying at this location for two nights. The pictures of this Chateau cannot convey the beauty and romance. The history of the area just oozes out. A wonderful welcome and a great start.
We visited this place of total perfection on our way home…. to break up a very long journey. Breathtaking…….. the Chateau is so fabulous, our hostess was charming and provide us with a wonderful dinner and a sumptuous breakfast! Superb wine to accompany dinner and we then took a second bottle and sat by the moat accompanied by swans and watched the sky darken and shooting stars start to appear….. Pure heaven describes it so well. xx
From the moment we arrived we knew we were somewhere special. Our room was spacious, beautiful and well equipped. The view, of the chapel and the moat with the estate beyond, was stunning. We were able to walk around and enjoy the grounds and beautiful gardens. The sitting rooms were huge and comfortable. We swam in the pool everyday. Micol was a lovely host with champagne to welcome us and excellent breakfasts. The dining room was so grand with candelabra fully lit on the table and there was a great array of food. As we were partying with friends we didn't eat dinner at the chateau but we were told how special it was so next time we will definitely book one.
This is the most beautiful little Château, complete with towers and moat. The rooms are beautifully appointed and very comfortable. The guests' drawing room is presided over by a regal portrait of the Vicomte, who modernised and extended the Château in the 1830s, but this is overshadowed by the beauty of the carved wood cornices, overmantels and panels: a gorgeous room. Dinner was delicious: beautifully balanced, not heavy but satisfying. Our hostess was charming and could not have been more welcoming or attentive. Her hotel is a complete gem which you should enjoy.
