So beautiful - has the charm of a cottage but space for everyone. The beach is beautiful and the lawn was spacious. The sunset views were spectacular.

The check-in was fine and the beach gets a 5 star rating. But the house itself is very run down, and was not that clean. There were pet stains on the carpet and both the house and cabin smelled musty and like dog. We brought our (very small) dog, so we aren’t that picky. They try to bill this as a private home-it is not. It is clearly a very well worn rental with little or noinvestment in maintenance. There are so many things that need repair! If this was an inexpensive place, it would be one thing, but it’s not that much of a bargain. Also, communication with the property management company was difficult because there was no cell service. Again, location was fantastic but the accommodations need some work.

Positives-the company was very responsive to all of the issues! The view was spectacular and having our own beach was so peaceful. The bedrooms were HOT! Air didn’t flow. They did bring us fans. It was still a big issue in the guest house. There were left over dirty towels from previous guests. They did profusely apologize. It could have been cleaned much better. The porch was really dirty. The washer ruined some of our clothes, left orange and brown stains on them. They gave us an allowance of paper towels and toilet paper that wasn’t close to enough. I found that especially odd since it said we had 14 but we only had 7 people. There was a bat that woke up my son who was sleeping in the loft. He spent 3 hours in the bathroom hiding. When they came over the next day we were told it is pretty common. Be prepared that cell service is very patchy. You may or may not be able to make phone calls, send texts, etc… Also, note that it is well water. You will need to bring lots of purified water! But they were super responsive, the beach was great, and there was a really wonderful deer family in the back yard.

Fantastic location

The best part of this property by far is the proximity to the lake and the private beach access. The house itself could use some TLC - it’s been well used for sure. Windows, doors and framing need help. The small, ‘bunk room’ house was great to have but there weren’t any screens on the windows, making it difficult to enjoy fresh air.

Great property with minor problems

The property was exactly what we wanted for our trip. We spent most of our time outside and the beach was fantastic. The house itself had a few minor things I would have liked to be different. For instance, the upstairs rooms had no window treatment so the sun was very bright in the morning and we had to be careful about changing clothes. The porch upstairs was also not accessible as the railing was extremely wobbly and almost coming detached, which was worrisome from a safety standpoint with the kids. Finally, the listing stated there was supposed to be a 25 gift card for the local store but we couldn't find it. We reached out about it but never got word of where it was. The rest of the stay was perfect. We had an issue with the toilets but the property manager was amazing and worked her butt off to get it fixed ASAP. The house was clean and had the amenities listed.

Weekend at the beach

Great location, great access to the beach. Property as described. Lots of room for our family of 8 adults. The house could use a once-over to clean it a bit after the winter months. It's understandable since we were there so early in the season - but worth mentioning. Thanks!

Great getaway

Had a great time on our own little private chunk of Lake Michigan beach. Didn't hurt that the weather was perfect. Be aware that the stairs down to the beach are a bit much for older folks.

Great

We enjoyed all aspects of the property, the only thing that would have been better was more towels readily available. Also, increasing the starter kit to more than 1 roll of paper towel and 2-3 dishwasher pods would be helpful as anyone staying with 10+ people will blow through that. Otherwise everything about the property was fantastic and would definitely Italy rent again!

Great vacation spot

Lawn for baseball and beach were great for kids. The kayak and paddleboard were fun for everyone. The kitchen and deck are big and were easy for meals.

A great week in Glenora

This was a fabulous location with views of the lake and night sky and we all enjoyed the beach. The paddle board was very popular and also the badminton, and waves on the lake made swimming especially fun. In both houses there were a few complaints about noises at night from little critters overhead, maybe mice. We also found the supply of bathroom towels and tissues a bit meager compared with our usual experience. We have been renting summer places in the Glenn area for about fifteen years and this the most beautiful location we have ever had. I found it very hard to leave!

Great Family Getaway!

The property was amazing! It worked out great for our family get together!! And the views….they don’t get any better than your private beach on Lake Michigan! We enjoyed watching the beautiful sunsets each night then followed that up with family time around the fire. We highly recommend this property to anyone looking to get a way and relax with friends and family. Thank you!!

Better like mice

Active infestation of mice and it is a known problem the pest control man said he has been there many times and started that no amount of bait will fix until all the gaps and holes are fixed. No shades on any window in upstairs bathroom. The lake stairs need vegetation trimmed to clear pathway and proper railings be careful with children. To many other things to mention. I would avoid this property completely.

GREAT FAMILY GETAWAY

A wonderful home right on the lake! Very clean and the beds were very. comfortable. One of the nicest things was the "welcome basket" as we walked in the home! Very thoughtful and very much appreciated. We loved staying here and highly recommend it for families with pets.

Perfect lake front property

The views cannot be beat at this perfectly situated home. Plenty of space for family and friends. Our dogs had a great time as well watching the squirrels, deer and lounging in the grass with fabulous lake front views. Fire pit was fantastic for post sunset relaxing in front of the lake.
