Wonderful home

We stayed here soon after Independence Day for a few days with our kids. Location cannot be beat with easy access to Portland and then onto places further up on Rt. 1. Very clean home, with ample amenities for our stay with kids in a quiet neighborhood. The house was impeccably clean and well furnished. The host responded to questions and provided tips for local places in a very timely manner. We were fortunate to be able to watch the fireworks display over the harbor by walking the <50 yards to the end of the road. It was one of these hot, humid weeks this summer and I will say that the one drawback was the house was not equipped with central AC. The owner has a window unit downstairs which does a fair job on that floor and a couple of fans for the bedrooms, but it did get hot and stuffy upstairs. If that is something you are sensitive to, be aware. Still, the house exceeded our other expectations and I would recommend it to friends and would revisit in another season.
