Basic, comfortable room. Good breakfast selections. Comfortable bed

I loved the fact it was close to the metro and had a shuttle service. I did not like being woken by housekeeping at 8am.

The buildings are obviously old and in need of updating. There was a funny smell in the lobby. The front desk clerk, DeAngelo was nice. The rooms were surprisingly clean, but again, in need of updates. The chairs were dirty and had holes. The lamp covering also had stains and rips. The sink drained slowed, the toilet would almost overflow before it went back down when flushed, and the iron never got hotter than luke warm. Skipped breakfast on my first night's stay, but got up extra early on the second night to catch the breakfast that was supposed to start at 7am. Got down to the lobby only to learn that supposedly 2 servers had called out and there was only 1 cook doing all the work. The front desk clerk helped out as much as he could, but I blame this whole situation on poor hotel management. No manager in sight after knowing there was not enough staff on duty. When they finally opened up for breakfast, the food was cold and disappointing at best. I had read reviews previously about the poor breakfast. It is as bad as other say, or worse.

Anthony, I'm sorry to hear your flight home was cancelled forcing you to stay the night with us Sir. I'm even more sorry that the check in service was bad. I will be looking through the reservations the past week to try and identify when you checked in so I can personally address this with the team. Thank you! We realize that due to our full service nature folks seem to expect to have to pay for breakfast, wifi etc. thank you for bringing this up. I always found it disappointing when traveling to stay at a full-service hotel only to be held Hostage to paying for their internet, paying for breakfast, and utilizing their F&B facilities as they seem to intentionally not have Micro-Fridges - often at what I feel are exorbitant prices to boot. The options are to move to the Select Service hotels -where they have selected a cookie cutter experience for us all to stay in line with....... so it's a lot of fun to be able to run a unique Full Service Inn with the restaurant, lounge room service etc, but still allow our guests to enjoy complimentary breakfast (make it down by 9 am.) have numerous restaurants adjoining, and provide the Micro fridges to bring your own or save the left overs! Thanks for the review as it gives others a better feel of what to expect. Sincerely, Dave C.
