Welcome to our spacious mountain retreat, Foxtail Chalet! Located in Fairplay Co. with over 3000 Sq. Ft. of living space, on 5 acres with an aspen grove and 360 degree mountain views. The immaculate 3 bdrm, 4 bth chalet offers the perfect blend of rustic charm and modern comforts providing an unforgettable experience for your getaway. With luxury bedding, two spacious/cozy living areas, an outdoor deck with a Weber Genesis grill, seating and dining area perfect for your family and furry friends. NEW HOTTUB JUST ADDED to the lower level patio!!! MAIN LIVING AREA- The best way to describe this room is warm and cozy. Even with the expansive 35’ ceiling in this room the pellet stove is one of the most safe, efficient, hassle-free means to stay warm. Just fill the stove with pellets (enough pellets will be supplied for your stay) once a day and enjoy the warmth throughout the top 2 floors of the chalet (written and video instructions will also be available). The extra large leather sofa with 2 large wingback chairs exemplify the word cozy. For your viewing pleasure there is a 50” Roku television with YouTube TV supplied for no charge to watch live shows and sports. All your other favorite steaming channels are available for you to sign in. Several board games and even a desk for your laptop is available in this area. Kitchen-The well appointed kitchen offers a Jenn-Air gas cooktop and oven, an extra large LG French Door refrigerator with an InstaView glass door and craft ice maker and a Bosch dishwasher. Amenities of the kitchen include: Ninja Coffee Maker, French Press coffee maker, tea kettle, Ninja blender, waffle maker, griddle, CrockPot, hand held electric mixer, toaster, Kitchen knives, pots and pans, iron skillet, wine and cocktail glasses, place setting for 12, well stocked spice rack, kitchen utensils, cutting boards, and kid’s washable plastic ware. Also located in the kitchen area is an Alexa and Sony Bluetooth speaker. Dining Area- Right off the kitchen you’ll find the dining area with seating for 6 around the antique French dining table. Additional bar top seating for 4 is available at the built in bar area. Also located in the dining area is an antique pie safe which can be used for extra counter space if needed. Bedrooms-The Primary Bedroom features a King size bed fitted with luxurious cotton bed linens. The Primary includes a large dresser to store all your clothes. A Roku TV is also in the Primary bedroom. YouTubeTV is complimentary in addition to other available apps for you to use your personal login for streaming. There is also a portable air conditioner in this room if needed--summer time evening temperatures usually average between the mid to low 50's to the high 40's. The other upper level Bedroom features a Queen bed fitted with luxurious cotton bed linens, 2 double windows (one that provides a view of the field where the herd of elk frequent) and a large closet. This bedroom also has a portable A/C, if needed. On the main level, the third bedroom includes a Queen bed fitted with luxurious cotton bed linens and a large closet. The lower level also has a twin/full bunk bed with Sherpa blankets and reading lights attached to the wall next to the bed making that space perfect for the younger members of your group. Extra pillows and blankets are available. Bathrooms- The Primary Bath includes a double sink vanity, oversized tub/shower combination with dispensers of body wash-shampoo and conditioner, as well as, luxurious cotton towels and extra soft toilet tissue. The other upstairs bath includes a one sink vanity, walk in shower, dispensers of body wash-shampoo and condition along with luxurious cotton towels and extra soft toilet tissue. The bathroom located on the main level includes a claw foot tub with a combination faucet/shower head for either a bath or shower, dispensers of body wash-shampoo and conditioner, a one sink vanity, luxurious cotton towels and extra soft toilet tissue. The fourth bathroom located in the lower level includes a tub/shower combination, dispensers of body wash-shampoo, and conditioner, a one sink vanity, luxurious cotton towels and extra soft toilet tissue. Lower Level- In addition to the bunk bed, the lower level area has a 55” Roku television with YouTube TV available at no charge to watch live shows and sports. Other streaming channels are available for you to sign in on this device, as well as, a HDMI cord to connect your gaming console to. A large sofa, two comfy chairs and plenty of extra blankets are available in this area—even a guitar for your strumming pleasure. Under the stairway you will find an additional storage space with rods to hang extra clothing--in this space you will also find an inflatable queen mattress, if additional bedding is needed. The utility room with full size washer and dryer is located on this level along with the full size bathroom, as mentioned above. Additional Amenities Include: Starlink High Speed Internet with 3 ORBI extenders on each level of the Chalet for superb internet. Pet Friendly- (see rules and policies), An Alexa, HDMI Cord attached to lower level TV for gaming consoles, Pack'n Play for the little ones, Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Alarms Throughout the Chalet, 2 Fire Extinguishers, First Aid Kit, Additional Parking Space for RV, Full Size Washer and Dryer, 2 Humidifiers. Guests have access to the entire living area of the home with the exception of 2 owner's closets, one located in the dining area and the other in the Primary bedroom. The garage area is not accessible to guests. THE CHALET IS NOT HANDICAP ACCESSIBLE--STAIRS MUST BE CLIMBED TO ENTER. Foxtail Chalet is the perfect combination of peaceful retreat, adventure and modern conveniences with no steep/rough mountain roads to navigate to the property. Just 5 minutes away you'll find the adorable and inviting mountain town of Fairplay. Home of the South Park City Museum, a perfectly restored mining town where you can walk through over 40 restored buildings from the time period. Fairplay is also the inspiration for the popular cartoon series South Park. In addition to the Museum you'll find restaurants, shopping, the new South Park Recreation Center and local art on display. Spend the day strolling, snacking and don't forget about Highside Brewing for a pint of Colorado craft beer, The Snitching Lady Distillery for your favorite whiskey or Continental Divide Winery. Foxtail Chalet is also located near every activity from hiking, fishing, skiing, snowboarding, sledding, tubing, ice skating, ice fishing, white water rafting and numerous other mountain adventures. Hundreds of hiking trails and many of the famous 14ers visible from the Chalet including Mt Sherman, Mt Democrat, Mt Bross, Mt Lincoln, and Mt Quandary. Fishing is exceptional in the area. The South Platte river offers Gold Medal fishing along with lakes including Montgomery Reservoir, Antero, Spinney, 11-mile and Jefferson Lake. You will also find skiing and snow boarding at Breckenridge, Keystone, A-Basin, Ski Cooper, Monarch and Copper Mountain. Catch the free shuttle* to Breckenridge, where you'll find over 180 ski trails, fine dining and shopping which is just 24 miles from the Chalet. Buena Vista- 36 miles-white water rafting, an outdoor adventure park, local breweries, hot springs, dining and even a drive-in movie theater. Salida- 56 miles-fishing, hiking, jeep trails, rafting fishing, indoor hot spring pool, river floating, dining and shopping. Como-10 miles- Historic Railroad District Cripple Creek-66 miles-gold mining and gambling Royal Gorge Bridge-70 miles- amazing views Daily Bus to Breckenridge at low cost. *The Summit Stage shuttle includes 3 stops in Fairplay on the way to Breckenridge. With a few stops along the way the usual commute time is around 25 to 30 minutes to various stops in Breckenridge including the Gondola to the slopes. The vacation home is air-conditioned and features a kitchen and 4 bathrooms, and there's space to spread out with 3 bedrooms and a dining area. Other standard amenities include a washing machine and a coffee maker.
